MEMORIES

Friday 12/20/2019 7:25 pm

Sometimes I really do have a hard time grasping how much time has passed. In my mind I look back and I ask myself, "Is it real... is it even possible?" Then, I catch a glimpse of my reflection in a mirror and I'm like, "Yep, a lot of time must have passed. (Either that or I have grown quite ugly for no good reason!)

We are at the end of another year, and the beginning of a new decade... so, for all who have events to  celebrate and milestones being noted, I wish you all my best going forward!

I'm presently sitting in my office and multitasking... remembering a little, reading a little, and listening to Christmas music playing softly in the background, right now 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' is playing. My good buddy (Joe) is asleep on the bed behind me. My poor little guy has been sick :(

I have been reading some works of the poet John Clare and I  found one I especially like, it's short so I'll share it:

I loved thee, though I told thee not,
Right earlily and long,
Thou wert my joy in every spot,
My theme in every song.
And when I saw a stranger face
Where beauty held the claim,
I gave it like a secret grace
The being of thy name.
And all the charms of face or voice
Which I in others see
Are but the recollected choice
Of what I felt or thee.

I hope all who reads this are having a good day, and I wish all a "Merry Christmas" and the happiest of new years!
