THE PEOPLE OF WALMART
Sunday January 6, 2013 10:00 pmI worked a closing shift tonight (my least favorite shift) and afterward I had to go to Walmart. I really had no idea what to use for a video so I recorded as I was pulling in to the lot and I was hoping to not have to use that one? I mean, sometimes there are some people who really dress funny at Walmart and I sort of hoped I might run into one of them that I could record instead. I didn't ): Of course, I also thought that because I was just leaving work I might have made someone else's video. I had on work clothes and an old coat with a scarf around my neck. So, I suppose it is possible that tonight I made it on another person's worst dressed list.
Walmart really does have shoppers who are more like the type of people who travel by Greyhound... they are just a different breed. As I was in line checking out I heard a lady behind me ask another shopper if there was a liquor store nearby? He told her it was Sunday and as far as he knew all of them were closed?
She then ask the lady who was checking me out if she could help her and get her coat zipper undone as she had caught it on her sweater... the clerk just smiled and shook her head. Then she looked at me and I laughed and said, "Sorry, but I'm all thumbs." I suppose it's good that we also get forgiveness for telling a lie, because had she been young and pretty... instead of what she was I could have honestly told her that I am not only ambidextrous, but my fingers are extremely nimble! :)
Finally a manager who was bringing change to my clerk decided to help her. He did say as he passed me that he hoped no one would use their camera phones to take pictures :)
(I just uploaded this and I watched it to make certain that it came through and I realize that I said the day of the week incorrectly... Saturday, instead of Sunday? lol)
