Hope for America
(ONE) I saw the hope for America today. Hope is not in the face of a white or black man: nor is it in the face of a woman. In fact, during the 45 minute message today, not once was race or politics spoken about or even intimated. No, the hope for America I saw in the faces of those around me.
I saw it first in the faces of five of our grandchildren. (Our other two grandchildren were with their parents attending another church service.) One of the hopeful faces was smiling, two were studious, another was pouting, and the last was crying: still, it was there that I saw hope.
And not only in those faces. A tiny baby boy, I had never seen before and probably only four or five months old, made happy faces in the pew directly in front of us. A little two or three-year-old girl was a few rows ahead and off to my left, a lot of hope for our country lay there as well. Babies and children in church services are vital. I have never understood a supposed leather-lunged preacher being intimidated and unable to preach because a small child might not be so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. God bless the little children.
I not only saw hope, I heard it as well. It was actually a simple and straight forward message. It wasn't five points with each point starting with the same letter. Whoever started all of that foolishness about the "proper way to preach" ought to repent.
Although I saw hope for America in the faces of the children, I heard the only hope for the rest of the world in the simple message of the Gospel; Christ died, He was buried, and He rose again! Praise God!

(TWO) After 30 minutes on a semi-recumbent bike this morning at the local YMCA, my two older daughters and I had a spirited discussion where we settled (once and for all time) most of the world's many ills. And, along those same lines, we talked about why pastor's only preach on their "favorite" sinful topics and leave many named sins in the Bible alone. We had a few ideas of our own; you can decide if we are correct in what we surmised.
Example: Why do many preachers say that it is sinful for women to wear pants, but these same preachers never preach about women cutting and wearing their hair short? This one seemed rather easy to answer. Just look at the wives of these men, all of them have short hair. However, that still doesn't give a good answer as to why they are pussyfooters.
Example: Why do they preach against smoking cigarettes, because it's harmful to your body, yet, they do not touch on the sin of obesity, and for the very same reason: very harmful to your body. Also, another easy one to answer, just look around. The truth about overeating (slow bellies) and it being sin in the eyes of God would be offensive to many church members. Again, these preachers are pussyfooting.
If these men do not preach the "whole counsel of God," then they are just pulpit bullies: as they are picking on the weakest in their congregation, and naming only the sin that is not apparent in their own families and their closest friends. I have no respect for such men.
If they are truly called by God, then speak the "whole truth" and do not care who approves or who becomes offended.
Of course they would have a much smaller congregation because most people are like sheep and they will not attend where real truth is told. These people have "itching ears" and these pastors only preach whatever small amount of truth it takes to satisfy their itch.
Then, there are the true hypocrites in the pulpit. I once knew a pastor who had stated from the pulpit that he would not perform a marriage ceremony in the main chapel (on church grounds) if the boy and girl had lived together before the marriage service. They could have their ceremony performed by another leader in the church (but not by the senior pastor) and at a secondary chapel on the church property.
Actually, I am not against that practice: especially since, Biblically speaking, a pastor reading some words over a boy and a girl has never been a prerequisite for marriage, nor has it ever resulted in a Bible union. However, I am against hypocritical practices.
This same pastor and church that I am alluding had many wedding ceremonies performed by associate ministers because of the above scenario. Again, not a bad practice as long as you are not a hypocrite and you make no exceptions.
One of the leaders in this church had a son whose girlfriend became pregnant. Care to guess who performed the service, for this obviously pregnant girl and her husband? Care to hazard a guess as to where their vows were exchanged?

(THREE) How many voters pay any attention to the news? And by news, I do not mean ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, etc., etc., etc! All of these agencies are the equivalent (for the far-left) of the People's Daily newspaper in China. If you want real news, unfiltered, and reported as news, left up to the viewers to decipher, go to Fox News. I can "prove" that to you.
Here is what you do. Pick a nightly newscast, any day of the week and record (on tape) all of the major news outlets in their evening broadcasts. (You also can do this same comparison with liberal and conservative newspapers, that is if you can still find a conservative newspaper).
After you have recorded, and watched, all of the tapes you will find a singular truth. All of them will have the exact same stories: just in a slightly different order: except for Fox News. Fox will also have the same stories as the others, but, they will have additional news stories that the other "news" programs refuse to air. Why? It is because the stories the other agencies do not run will always favor patriotism, conservatism, etc. Or, they will put in a bad light something Obama or some of his associates have done. A perfect case in point is Obama's (former) hysterical pastor. The New York Times and ABC (etc.) only ran the story once Fox, (Hannity especially) and conservative talk radio, had been reporting it for a year or more. I can honestly say, "Thank God for the Internet and conservative talk radio and television."
If it were not for these outlets, we would only be getting the stories reported that the People's Daily News wanted us to know about.
Once you do a comparison of what is being reported by the liberal and conservative outlets, you ought to ask yourself a question. Don't you want to see all of the news and make your own decisions about those who are making the news? I am writing this today because of a very funny story about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Before I tell you that story, I want to make a point about something else.
Why is it that almost every single news story that talks about the senator from New York, they always use all three of her names: Hillary Rodham Clinton; however, if anyone says all three of the names of another senator, (Barak Hussien Obama) they become desperate and shrill. It must be an awful burden for Obama to bear to have been given a name that he is ashamed of using. I think the next time I hear anyone use the name of John Sidney McCain III, I am going to become shrill and act desperate also.
Now to the story I want to talk about. Have you heard about her exploits (on foreign soil) as she (and those with her) was being shot at and had to run for her life! Of course all of this was news to the comedian Sinbad. Now, when confronted with the truth that nothing like this ever happened, Hillary Rodham Clinton said that she "misspoke." LOLROF!!!
In truth, if the Clinton's want to experience being shot at they probably do not have to go to a foreign country. Land on any tarmac in their home state of Arkansas will probably do the trick. And no, Arkansas does not count as a third-world country.
If you completely fabricate an event that never happened, how does that qualify as "misspeak." Oh yeah, I temporarily forgot. She is still married to the king of fabricators, "Slick Willie."
While writing today's post I was notified that I have won, not one but three Pulitzer awards in the following categories: Beat reporting, Commentary, and Criticism. I feel overwhelmed with these signature awards. Wait a minute, I think I just "misspoke:" I meant to say that three different people would read this blog: my bad. (Robin L. Johnson)

(FOUR) Of course, I am sure that most people have heard the old saying, "There's a لَقَب غَيْر مُهَذَّب للزِّنْجي
in the woodpile somewhere." In deference to Mr. Obama, I wrote the slang word in Arabic. I thought he would better appreciate it in what he might hope would become the language of America one day.
There are many reasons why I dislike this man so intensely. It is much more than his relationship with his pastor's continual whining, and his "Whitey's keepin' me down" message. And it is more than him turning his back to the flag and refusing to hold his hand over his heart as the Pledge of Allegiance is being said. We get it Obama, you are just another "typical black liberal" who hates America.
The main reason I despise this man is his bloody hands on infanticide. Of course, the other Democrat in the race is no better on this issue either. In the Illinois legislature Obama opposed a Born-Alive infants bill that would have protected the poor babies who survive the abortion doctor's evil intent. These children are left (on a table outside the womb) to strangle, suffer, and die and they are given no care or comfort. Unlike waterboarding being used on a murdering terrorist, what happens to the unborn and born (outside the womb) at Planned Parenthood is real torture. Think strongly about this before you vote for a baby murdering Democrat!
I began this blog with an old saying about genealogy. I did this because of historical records showing kinship between some of the candidates in the political races today. It doesn't surprise me that Obama is related to Brad Pitt, and Hillary is related to both Jolie and Madonna; after all, "Birds of a feather..." etc., etc.
Nor does it surprise me that John McCain is related to (both) King Louis VII, and Laura Bush. But, hold onto your hat, Obama is a distant (along the lines of 10th. cousins... twice removed... etc.) relative of Robert E. Lee, Sir Winston Churchill, past President Gerald Ford, and our present president: George Bush. (Now it is time to insert the old saying I began with).
Talk about a black sheep in the family. It must be that the white woman from Kansas (Barak's mother) and her ancestors got around a lot. (Robin L. Johnson)

(FIVE) There is an old joke that says a man asked a woman if she would have sex with him if he gave her $100,000 thousand dollars. She thought for a minute and said, "Sure." He then repeated what he wanted and this time only offered her five dollars. She clutched her breast and in an indignant tone said, "What do you think I am?"
He answered, "Well, we already know what you are, now we're just haggling over the price."
Today in the news we see that "Baghdad Jim" McDermott and two of his cohorts (just like the prostitute in our joke) were also for sale. Only this time they were being bought with Saddam Hussein's oil in exchange for being liberal mouthpieces against ousting Hussein from power in Iraq.
Once Muthanna Al-Hanootinti (rhymes with "patootie") knew these men could be bought, all that was left was haggling over the price. In case you want to know, the going price for liberal sell-outs, I mean liberal senators is "666" thousand barrels of oil for each senator who was purchased. Now where else are those three sixes also prominently featured?
I just figured a way that the Democrat senators in our nation's capitol might actually do some good. If only 50 of them are sellouts, and I think that is a given, here is what they can do. A 42 gallon barrel of oil will yield nearly 20 gallons of gasoline. If on any given day in America we burn approximately 360 million gallons of gasoline, and if the present day Democrats can get the same rate that "Baghdad Jim" got, and if I did my math correctly, then for two whole days (in this country) our gasoline energy needs would be met!
C'mon, will at least 50 of you liberal Democrat senators finally do some good: openly sellout and fill my car with gasoline. Thank you very much! (Robin L. Johnson)

(SIX) I have a question for you. Do you like it whenever someone says, "I have good news and bad news, which one do you want first?" I suppose how you would answer that question probably reveals something about your personality, however, I don't particularly like the form of that question: even though I am going to use it on you.
The part about your answer revealing something about your personality only means it would tell me how you might approach other things in your daily life. Example: whenever I am eating supper and there is a variety of food on my plate, I begin with my least favorite food and I consume it first. I continue in that manner until I finish with whatever happens to be my favorite food. In that way I always finish with a food that I like a great deal. This is probably not a novel idea, I mean, dessert usually comes at the end of a meal, doesn't it?
I also approach other things in my life the same way. If I have some chores that I must attend, I get whatever I like the least out of the way first, in that way I finish with whatever chore I like the most.
Because I live my life that way, if I had to answer the good news bad news type of question, I would get the bad out of the way right off the bat. Let's see how you do it.

The bad news is that Barnes and Noble (online) has more than a million (1,000,000) titles of books for sale. The good news is that my latest book I have published (Mei Sermo) is in the top 25% in sales. I suppose it is the glass half-full sort of thing. I'm glad it's not in the bottom 25%, nevertheless, I certainly wish that it were in the top 1%, especially with 1,000,000 titles available.

Now, if you were to imagine that I might be embarrassed to be this brazen in my pandering, then that only means that you do not know me. I once wore checkered pants with a striped shirt... at the same time... on purpose. And it was not because I had lost a bet. I thought it was, "cool."

(SEVEN) Do you like jokes? I do. Here is a very funny one. "The Earth has warmed up approximately one degree within the last 100 years... (ready for the punchline) and it is man's fault!" Now everyone out there can laugh and laugh and laugh.
Global Warming, as the political movement, is one of the biggest jokes perpetrated on mankind over the last 50 years.
First of all, ...if... the Earth is warming, or cooling, man could not cause it, or change it, if they set their minds to it and tried very hard! In my book (Mei Sermo) I use a great deal of material to debunk our poor demented friend Al. I won't go through all of that on this blog; however, I will ask you to look something up online and read it for yourselves.
In Newsweek (28, April 1975) there was an article by Peter Gwynne, and it was full of "scientific data" and a lot of blame (toward mankind) and hand-wringing because of the soon coming ice-age! I am not joking. Just 33 years ago the very same scientists who are predicting dire circumstances because of global-warming, were predicting the very same dire consequences for mankind because of global-cooling.
In the article they spoke of the growing icecaps at the poles and how ground temperature had dropped between 1945-1968, etc. It is silliness, all silliness. I am writing about this today because of all of the stupid people and nations who will participate in Earth-hour and they will go dark. I too plan to participate. Although, I will do it by going bright. I am going to turn on all of the televisions in my house at the same time. There are four of them. Every light will be burning, all radios (three) will be playing, My computer will be on, well that last one is not a threat for the tree-huggers out there because it stays on all of the time anyway. The heat will be on, whether we need it or not. Duke Energy will love me tonight, because any and everything that can burn fuel (in and around my house) will be used tonight. I only lament the fact that my wife has already taken down all of the Christmas decorations, because I guarantee you that they would all be lit as well.
Well, I have to go, I just decided that I might want to run around for awhile in my car, making as many unnecessary and useless trips as I can for the next few hours. Now I hate the fact that I didn't buy a bigger gas guzzler. I have an idea though, I will top the tank and not tighten the gas cap... my rebellion knows no bounds!

(EIGHT) I already know that this will be my longest posting to date. It is because as soon as I read about the story, and followed some of its immediate aftermath, my mind began to fill with thoughts. I am going to ask you to come back to this blog this evening, though, in order to read what I am going to write. It is because, at least for me, I woke up "late" and I have to leave for work in the next few minutes. I will give you a teaser though about the content of what today's blog will be about. I am doing this so that you can read up on the story and form some opinions before you read what I write.
I will be writing about the sad story of the beautiful little 11 year old girl, Madeline Neumann. See you this evening.
6:00 p.m. Did you read about this young girl? Apparently her immediate family members are people of faith and they do not believe in going to doctors for help whenever anyone falls ill: instead, they go only to the Great Physician, God. In this case, quite possibly, it might have cost the little girl her life, no one knows for sure. That last thought is what brings me to the several points I want to make in today's blog.
There are so many crazy people in this country that at times it can seem hopeless. Unless you heard the radio call-in shows, or took part in online voting about this story, you might not believe how crazy many people actually are. Example: 70% of polled voters say they believe in prayer, but, 84% said "prayer only" should not be allowed and parents ought to be forced (by our government) to seek medical aid for their children. For the 84% in this last group, I have two questions for you. First: Are you all insane? Secondly: Do you not think things through before you make such statements?
I am very much afraid that in this country, and in the minds of many liberals, we have become a nanny state. In part, it is due to wrongheaded thinking by people like Hillary and her, "It takes a village" sentiment regarding raising children. I have news for her, "No it doesn't." All it takes is a nuclear family: dad, mom, and children. No sound thinking person ought to want the government more involved in our daily lives than they already are.
But, there is another major reason, besides more government intrusion into our daily lives, why the Neumann's, or any other family should never be forced to seek medical care for someone who is ill. Before I state that reason, let me tell you something about myself.
If I or anyone I love is ill, I would both pray for their recovery and encourage them to find a good doctor who might be able to prescribe something that would aid in their recovery. I wanted to get that out of the way before I write the next several paragraphs.
Are you all aware of what the three leading causes of death are in this country? Most of you have probably heard of numbers one and two, heart disease and cancer. But I bet number three on the list of killers in this country will send you running for your dictionaries in order to see how to pronounce it. Just think, something is killing 250,000 (thousand) Americans each year and you probably have never even heard the word; it is called iatrogenic.
Let me break that large number (250,000 deaths each year) down, in order to give you some perspective. If it takes you only ten minutes (600 measly seconds) to read this blog, 5 Americans will have died because of this severe medical problem! Approximately 28 Americans die every hour, needlessly, because of this. Basically the term means, "induced in patients." In other words, the medical profession is killing 250,000 people (by accident) each and every single year. Let me state that number another way. In more than five years of fighting a war in Iraq, against the enemies of our country and our way of life, we have lost 4,000 of our bravest sons and daughters. That is tragic indeed, however, every six day period more Americans will die because of doctor error, than has died in a five-year long war! This means that (if I did my math correctly) you are 304 times more likely to die by your family doctor accidentally killing you, then if you were (today) fighting in Iraq. There is a moral to this story: if you want to be safe(r), join the Army, and stay away from doctors.
According to the Journal American Medical Association, Dr. Barbara Stanfield of John Hopkins breaks the accidental deaths down in five different categories. Unnecessary surgery, 12,000 deaths ... medication errors, 7,000 deaths ... etc. She continues to assign numbers for deaths due to infections people get just because they are in the hospital, and there is a category for no error, but a bad side-effect because of a medicine that was prescribed by a doctor. There is even a category assigned for "other errors:" which resulted in the death of a patient; 20,000 Americans will die this year because of ... "other errors" from doctors and health care providers.
Tragically, I, and my immediate family, have first-hand experience about doctor error. My Dad at 59 years of age had Type 2 diabetes. His diabetes had for years been controlled by a daily pill and diet. one day though, he became ill and we took him to the emergency room for evaluation. His personal physician could not be reached (playing golf maybe) and an attending doctor made his own diagnosis, give him a shot of insulin: even though he had never before been prescribed insulin. The result: death came very quickly.
My mom, eight years later, also at age 59 had a minor stroke. When I went to the hospital to see her, there was no apparent lingering effect: full speech, coherent, and motor skills. Her doctor made a decision to keep her for a few days for "observation." My Mom was a nurse and I honestly believe their decision to keep her was based on the fact that she had very good insurance. I guarantee that if she were self-employed, with no health care insurance, and with no outward signs of her small stroke having harmed her, she would have been released without those extra days of "observation."
Of course it was those "extra days" in the hospital that led to her death. Incidentally, what happened to her kills more than 100,000 Americans each year. While in the hospital a person develops an infection or pneumonia, etc., and it leads to their death. About her fourth day in, she developed an infection, a few days more and she had pneumonia, and was transferred to intensive care. 18 days later she died: a death that was caused from staying too long in a hospital.
My sister-in-law died years before she should have because of doctor error. To be fair, she always had a bad heart. In fact, this was her second surgery and she was only in her early 30's. They were going to repair a valve that was leaking. Once inside, the doctor saw that (in his estimation) within the next three to five years she would probably have to have more surgery, so he decided to replace all of them during this surgery. Problem was, after removing the valves, he found that her heart was not in good enough shape to reattach the ones he had just chosen to remove. She died without waking up.
I went in for routine outpatient surgery. In fact, it was minor enough that even though I was in a hospital operating room, I was told I should be able to go home within an hour of the surgery being complete. There was a problem. I awoke with the gown having been torn from my chest and a team of concerned looking doctors holding defibrillator paddles in front of my eyes. My pastor, who had been waiting to drive me home heard the "code blue" being paged, and he said that he knew it was for me. In the recovery room my anesthesiologist told me that he became more afraid in that operating room, during the time my heart had stopped, than at any time during his tour in Vietnam.
Poor little Madeline had developed diabetic keto acidosis, too little insulin in her body. Perhaps prayer, with good doctor care would have saved her. But, none should be so foolish to imagine that there was any guarantee that even under doctors care she would have fared any better. If you don't believe me just ask the 5 Americans who died during the time you were reading this blog. Wait a minute, you can't ask these people... their doctor just accidentally killed them! Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred three score and six."
In eight days I will be coming upon my third year anniversary of beginning to write Mei Sermo: (April 8, 2005). With that book, every time I finished chapters I had them uploaded to the Internet and they were available for anyone to read for free. I am writing these facts so that you might have a little better time-line to see how things are progressing on comments I made in chapter two, The Fool Squared, as it relates to a current news item that Fox News spent several minutes on discussing yesterday morning. In my book I wrote ten pages on this subject, and went into much more detail on what is taking place. On this blog I can only skim the surface. (I wanted to write about this yesterday, but I had already made a decision that I wanted to talk about the young child, Madeline).
Does anyone know what George J. Laurer, UPC, MIS, ICD, RFID, FDA, or VeriChip, have in common? I will tell you what each one stands for and see if you can determine what is the LCD (lowest common denominator) for this group. (UPC--Universal Pricing Code), (MIS--Microchip Identification System), (ICD--Integrated Circuit Device), (RFID--Radio-Frequency Identification Tag), (FDA--Food and Drug Administration), VeriChip, the company that was given approval by the aforementioned FDA, to implant microchips into human beings. This procedure has now been done by hundreds of doctors and scores of hospitals on many of their patients.
Of course, Mr. Laurer was the inventor of the UPC bar codes that make it possible for all items to be easily scanned for purchase. After his invention (bar code) all that had to happen in order to make it possible to fulfill the above three Bible verses was to have something that could be implanted in (not on) their right hand, or in (not on) their foreheads. In addition to having the means available, there must also be an acceptance of the practice.
That started several years ago with pets being implanted. Then, in 1998, it was reported that the first human was implanted with a microchip: April 2002, (Today Show) millions watched as an entire family (Jacobs) from south Florida was implanted.
We now have compatibility with all products (for sale) being "marked" and the people who wishes to purchase the products also being "marked." One day, (soon) all you will have to do in order to make a purchase is pass your "implanted right hand" over the "interrogator" (this is what the device is called that "reads" RFID tags) and your purchase will be complete, and so will the above verses be complete. (And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.)
The three men who were discussing this on Fox News yesterday were debating the merits of our government forcing parents to have their children implanted! Of course, it would be for their own good, it was said. One day, as soon as children are born in the hospital, they will be implanted with microchips, just as they (at this time) are instantly assigned Social Security Numbers. Welcome to Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes and many end time events!
If you think I'm crazy, "I'm not," he said, as he sits in his underwear while typing his blog and wearing a hat made of tinfoil, just in case the government is trying to read his mind, "but a few of the voices in my head might be. At least one of them, I'm pretty sure is psychotic!"

(TEN) Earlier today my wife and I saw the greatest movie we have ever seen; it was called, No Country for Old Men: it was by the fabulous brothers, Joen and Ethan Coen... Alright, I can't keep this farce up any longer. This is my April Fools joke on you. Since no one knows for certain why we play jokes on people on this day, I will not elaborate any more about this: other than to say, you have to admit that my trick is better than, "Your shoe is untied."
I called my daughter, who lent me the tape to watch, and "thanked her" for allowing my wife and I to waste six hours of our life. What? You mean the movie wasn't six hours long! I get it, it just seemed like it was.
At first I thought that No Country for Old Men might be the worst movie that I watched through to the end, (there are many that I never finish) but then I remembered, Hudson Hawk, The Life Aquatic, and Barton Fink. In my defense, though, I sometimes watch till the end of a bad movie firmly believing that it just has to get better and have some point to it.
My daughter and I were talking about this movie and she made the point that it is the "Emperor's New Clothes" syndrome. I completely agree.
Hans Christian Anderson wove a tale about an emperor and two swindler's. They convinced the king that they were weaving him the finest and most expensive attire, but only those who were smart and deserved the good position they were in would be able to see the cloth. Naturally, no one wanted to appear stupid, so the king and his court pretended to see what was obviously not there. At least until the king decided to show his "new clothes" to his subjects. One small child, not playing along with the rest, said, "But he has nothing on!" Now, the crowd roared with laughter because it was obvious to all that the king was naked. But, here is the interesting part to the little tale. The king and his minions, still held their heads high and continued with the ruse.
Even if you pointed out to the Hollywood elite and those who gave this silly movie some awards, that it was a boring movie, they would pretend that there was great merit to it.
It's okay though, I'll play the part of the little boy and I will cry out, "But it was a pointless movie, with a tired plot." Now, all of you (who also wasted your time watching it) can nod your heads in agreement and finally admit that it was a bad movie.
While we are talking about the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome, in addition to Hollywood, this syndrome also permeates the art world. Let me give you just two examples. In abstract expressionism there are two, supposedly undisputed, "masters:" Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.
If what these men painted was art, then I had a drunken grandfather who (with two six-packs of beer consumed and several cans of open paint) could have created Pollock paintings all day long! Just think, he died a pauper and he could have been rich and famous. It is probably the fault of us kids not encouraging him in the right direction. After about the tenth beer every evening we should have just handed him another open gallon of paint. "C'mon grandpa, throw another can against the wall, I want a yacht!"
And if my grandpa wouldn't do it, I know I missed the boat with my daughters. By about the fourth grade in school, all three of them were painting like the master, Pablo Picasso. But, there was a very limited amount of time to cash in on their artwork, and I missed it. Because around sixth grade their motor skills and hand-eye coordination had improved to the point that they could actually draw recognizable pictures.
I am especially writing this blog for those who still have young children and might want to cash in on the abstract money bonanza. If you wonder if your child is "good enough" to paint like a master, I will give you just one example to study. You will see that a bit of the "Master painter" is in all, two through seven year old children. Study a picture (by Picasso) entitled, The Red Armchair: then you will see that there are budding Picasso's in every daycare in America.
In closing this blog I did just think of one more potential source (possibly within your family) to do this type of art.
Find someone who is elderly, the older the better: it would also help if they are colorblind and somewhat palsied. Then, give 'em some paint, brushes, canvas, and sit back and wait for the buyers to beat your door down. I believe that I'll take my money in small bills, thank you very much. (Robin L. Johnson)

(ELEVEN) I read again the speech by Obama's pastor, where he began by saying he was quoting Malcolm X, as he said, "The chickens are coming home to roost." Of course Malcolm was attempting to justify JFK being murdered. Then of course, Mr. Wright quoted what Malcolm had said in trying to justify the cowardly attacks by a group of heathens against our country on 9/11.
I would never be interested in quoting two well known racists like Malcolm or Wright; because of that I will paraphrase: "It looks like Obama's chickens are coming home to roost."
Now, for any liberal who reads this you will have to do a little searching to find the truth. All of the liberal newsmen apparently has a man-crush on Obama and they are trying to bury, or spin, all of his lies. His lies are out there, it is just that you will have to search a little.
I will list just a few of his lies. First, he is not a professor with tenure, although I would be willing to let that one slide as it just sounded like he was trying to make himself sound more accomplished than what he is. But, some of the other things he says are simply bald-faced lies.
As he was trying to get the Kennedy's endorsement he lied and said if it were not for financial aid from the Kennedy's, Obama's father would have never made it to America. LIAR! Obama's father was already living in Hawaii, before the Kennedy's ever gave any money to help with airlifts and bring other Kenyans' into this country.
During the bridge protest in Selma, Obama told another lie about that long ago event and said that is where his father and mother met, and because of that fateful meeting, Obama was born. LIAR! Obama was four-years-old when that civil rights protest took place in Alabama.
Commercials that are running, at least as of yesterday, has Obama saying that he does not take money from big oil. LIAR! His campaign has taken in tens of thousands of dollars from George Kaiser, oil company CEO. Obama has also received donations from Shell, BP, Chevron, Exxon, and all other major oil companies.
I have a few questions for you. How many times do you have to kill someone before you could be called a murderer? How many times do you have to steal before you could be called a thief? How many lies do you have to tell before you could be called a liar? The answer to all three of those questions is one. So, Obama is a LIAR, not once, but several times over. And the list goes on.
He is continually trying to hide just how liberal he actually is. So, when a paper surfaced about his far left views, gun control, infanticide, etc., in other words, everything that is right about this country Obama is against. He then told another lie and said he never saw the paper, it was probably a staffer who filled it out. Then the papers were produced, and again, we know he is a LIAR! Notes, in his own handwriting were all over the paper. I have been carefully watching his speeches and I have finally figured out a way that you can tell when he is lying. Do you want to know how? Ready, it is every time you see his lips move!
But, all of his lies are not the main reason I believe that "his chickens are coming home to roost." After all, no living man told more lies than Bill Clinton and the libs loved him. But it is a different climate today and a completely far left liberal can't get elected to the office of the president without moderates and independent votes also. The main reason is because many of these people do not like the idea of murdering unborn babies on demand.
If you want to know what Obama truly thinks of babies, listen to his speech as he described a baby coming into this world as "punishment." He said that he would not want a young girl who had made a "mistake" to be "punished" by bringing a baby into the world!
Only in Obama's twisted mind could anyone ever believe that an innocent baby being born would be "punishment." Hopefully, what he said about babies will not sit well with any moderate or independent and they will stay home on election day or cast their vote for McCain. If this happens, and I believe that it will, Obama will lose by 7 to 10% nationally. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWELVE) You can file this blog under unfinished business. I will be (briefly) talking about two things that I have recently blogged. The first item I want to discuss has to do with doctors who accidentally kill their patients.
Today it was reported that (for the second year in a row) the number two cause of deaths in this country is accidental poisoning. But, if you read the fine print you will see what is leading this is doctors prescribing medication and that (in turn) is what is killing these patients.
The second item has to do with my favorite person, whom I love to hate: Barak Obama.
There was a great article in yesterday's newspaper by Thomas Sowell. His article is entitled: Barack Obama and the Left: The audacity of rhetoric.
His article began with the following words. "It is painful to watch defenders of Barak Obama tying themselves into knots trying to evade the obvious..." The obvious that he is alluding to is that Obama is an extreme far-left liberal. In Obama's book, Dreams From My Father, he stated, "I chose my friends carefully."
Obama then went on to describe those friends. ""Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk rock performance poets." In addition... as well as the "more politically active black students." He later also visited a former member of the terrorist Weatherman underground. This particular terrorist also endorsed Obama when he ran for state senator.
It is no accident that Obama met up with the "racist" preacher Wright. These are the types of people Obama has sought out his entire life. Incidentally, Thomas Sowell, the writer of the article, happens to be a black man.
Sowell's article is an extraordinary expose of the liberal Obama. It is well worth your time to read it. Have a good day. (Robin L. Johnson)

(THIRTEEN) I had planned to talk about the 40th. anniversary of the murder of MLK. I was going to expound as to why there were multiple riots at many major cities throughout the land, but not in the city he was murdered in. There is a very sound reason why this happened, and it has nothing to do with a black/white issue. It has everything to do with a conservative/liberal issue. One of these days and on one of these blogs, I will prove that to you.
I decided, instead, to talk about what happened at the NATO summit. It seems that Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is taking a lot of flack for giving President Bush a friendly "salute." The outcry is that it makes their country seem somehow subservient to America. I just have to ask, only "somehow subservient?" The United Sates of America, feeds, clothes, protects, and gives aid to more people on planet Earth, than any other ten nations combined. All nations should feel subservient to America!
Not only should America's leaders be saluted, they ought to be given the highest honor every single time they visit any other country. If you do not believe that, then you ought to ask yourself the following two questions.
First: What nation, other than America are people (by the millions) trying to get into? C'mon name one. Are people climbing fences or swimming rivers trying to get into Canada, or Mexico? Have you heard of people trying to get into Cuba? How about Russia or China? Go ahead, name the rest of the 200 + nations and you will find a singular truth. People around the world want to come to America more than any other nation on planet Earth. And they are constantly trying to flee from many of the very countries that, by their words, are always running America down.
Secondly: What is the difference between fences America builds on its borders and fences other nations build on their borders? The answer is the same reason there are fences around federal penitentiaries. America builds fences to keep people out because so many millions wants to come. Other countries builds fences at their borders to keep their own people from leaving, because millions want to go.
If you are fortunate enough to be a citizen of this country you ought to give thanks every single day. Believe me when I tell you that most of the world's population would be ecstatic to trade places with you. (Robin L. Johnson)

(FOURTEEN) There are certain web logs that seem to write themselves; this will be one of those. I suppose it would be fair to say that in my lifetime I have wasted tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on things and activities that had no positive benefit to them. However, every dollar that I ever spent and every hour consumed in Christian education was time and money well spent!
I am going to write about only one incident that happened recently in a government run public school that embodies what the corrupt NEA is all about. A high school student in Wisconsin was given a "zero" grade for a piece of artwork that depicted a cross on it and a Bible reference to John 3:16.
Apparently his art teacher had the students sign a paper for her course that would prohibit four types of artwork: no blood, no violence, no sex, and no religion. First of all, notice what this teacher is doing. She is grouping violence, sex, blood, and religion together. Secondly, because her school is funded by the government, by law, she can not enforce her socialistic ideal of stopping free speech and trampling on the rights of this student and forcing him to waive his First Amendment rights. The student has sued this public school and with a 100% guarantee I can assure you that he will win his case.
His winning his suit, though, is only part of the story. The real story is that this blatant attack on Christianity is rampant in the government run public school system. This same teacher, who failed his artwork piece, gave high marks and praised artwork that depicted demons. The last time I checked, "satanism" also is "religious" by nature. Oh well, I guess it is okay if students draw art of her "little god."
Nearly 30 years ago I flew to Dallas, Texas and met with Dr. Howard. He had started A.C.E. This is church (or home based) schooling and A.C.E. stands for accelerated Christian education. I was fortunate enough to be seated near him during lunch and he told the following story. He said, "Imagine that Moses had been told by the Lord to separate from the godless people of Egypt and to travel into the wilderness and lead a people who were consecrated to God. Now imagine Moses and his leaders packing their children's lunches in brown paper bags and each and every day sending their small children back into Egypt, in order to be trained in the ways of heathens, by heathens." Ridiculous, isn't it?
Why in the world would any person, who names the name of Jesus Christ, allow their children to be indoctrinated in the public school system by people who either know nothing about God, or their stated agenda is to try and overthrow faith in God.
No parent can claim (and be telling the truth) that they are sending their children to a public school in order to get a good education. America ranks near the bottom of all industrialized nations on Earth as far as public education is concerned. Public schools in America are not very concerned with education. Their primary goal is indoctrination. Indoctrination in all things hedonistic. A recent report stated that 50% of young people in public school will not graduate.
Compare that with 99% graduation rate in private education and 94% of those who graduate going on to further their education in college.
Many years ago, while speaking at a small college in West Virginia, I once told a group of students (who were studying to become school teachers) that they were wasting their time going into public education. If they were serious about educating young people, then they should only consider the private sector. That still holds true for any person (today) who is considering going into teaching. Education, at least the three "r's" is not what is happening in the government run public schools of today.
If you need further proof of the corrupt public school debacle, I will give you an indisputable fact. As a professional group, i.e., firemen, policemen, doctors, etc.: what professional group has their own children enrolled in private school in larger numbers than any other group. That's right... public school teachers have their own children enrolled in private schools.
Before finishing this blog today I also want to give another compelling reason why no Christian parent ought to ever allow their children to be taught in a public school. There is a neat story about a young fifth-grade student named Kenton S. from an elementary school in Michigan. It seems he found an error in something at the Smithsonian in Washington. (I almost could not write that last sentence with a straight face. That sentence implies a single error being taught at the Smithsonian. I could write entire tomes full of error being taught at every wing and hallway in that place.) In fact, Mei Sermo is worth the cost of the book for the information in chapter two by itself.
Anyway, without regurgitating the story, the Smithsonian removed the word "era" from a sign that spoke of the "Precambrian era." In their world it was only the wording that was wrong and not their whole silly philosophy. But that is not why I am writing about this story.
It is something the young student said. His reason for dropping a comment card in their box which exposed their error was because of Kenton's teacher. Listen to the young man's own words. "I know Mr. Chapman wouldn't tell all these students bad information."
That kid is probably a great kid and on television his apparent lack of guile jumped off of the screen. But his words ought to give every Christian parent nightmares if they send their kids to public schools. ("I know Mr. Chapman wouldn't tell all these students bad information.") Please do not make your children choose between what their public school teacher tells them, or what you and your pastor teach.
If you are a Christian, do not ever send your children to a public school where their faith and belief-system might be robbed from them. Besides all that, it is very poor education.
To prove that private education works and as for me, a saved person, it was well worth my time and money being invested. All three of my daughters attend church and all seven of my grandchildren are slated to attend private school, or they will be home schooled. The first (three) of our seven grandchildren start school in the fall, and thank God, they will not be educated in the government run public school system! (Robin L. Johnson)

(FIFTEEN) America is still the greatest nation on Earth, despite its many and serious faults. However, I wonder what defining event will be its "jump the shark" moment and the country will begin its inexorable slide into the dustbin of history?
When Roe v Wade became law (22 January 1973) I thought that might be the trigger-event and it would portend the coming revolution in this country where those who feared God, would rise against the ungodly. But it did not happen and 45,000,000 murdered babies later we still stand as a nation and a beacon of light to the rest of the world, but there is a very sad truth in that fact.
Let me try and illustrate what I mean in a way that will make this truth easier to understand. I will do this by asking a few questions that I would like you to answer before moving onto the next one.
As it relates to God, do you know what it means to be a backslider? Do you believe it is possible for people (in particular) and nations (in general) to be backsliders? If you have a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ, was there ever a time that you were closer to Him, then you are now? If you, as a reader of this blog, answered the third question with a yes, then I have one further question for you. What event took place in your life (as it pertains to God) that was your very own "jump the shark" moment and everything went downhill from there?
Understand that something is coming to this nation that will tip the balance the wrong way and this country will begin a slide that it will never recover from. It has happened to all great nations in the past and it will happen here also. Just look at the dispersed Jews and what happened when they returned to their homeland. (Woe unto them that are at ease in Zion). Look at England: we got our beloved Bible translated in the language of the common people because of that nation. Yet, today, they are as ungodly and liberal as any nation on Earth.
As for our country, maybe it was Ruby Ridge, or Waco and the slide has already started. Perhaps it is the standoff going on this evening at Eldorado, Texas: regardless the trigger-event, it is coming. The problem is, there is no nation on planet Earth that will take up the banner of Christianity when the majority in this nation accepts godlessness as their way of life.
The sad truth that I mentioned in the second paragraph has to do with the fact that as backsliding as America has gotten from God, we as a nation are still closer to Him then the rest of the world.
We are only 6% of the world's population, yet 95% of all Christian missionaries in the world either come from here, or are financially supported from here. When it can even be thought as a potentially close contest by American voters that the most liberal senator in America, (Obama) based on his voting record, or Hillary Clinton would have a serious chance at becoming a president of this country, then the signs seem ominous for this nation even lasting much longer.

(SIXTEEN) I will not write a lot on today's blog, I just want to point out the obvious. It sort of ties in though with the idea on yesterday's blog about a man/nation, backsliding.
I do not know enough about Charlton Heston to comment on him as an individual. I can though write about something that most people already know. First, he was not a typical Hollywood actor. There were no rumors about infidelity as he was married to the same woman for 64 years!
Compare that to most of today's Hollywood bed-hoppers who make their living acting.
He also started out as a younger man (and more foolish) in the Democratic party. As he got older (and more wise) he switched party affiliations and became a staunch Republican. But what I want to call attention to is the obvious way Hollywood has slipped even farther into the gutter. If such a thing is possible.
Look at movies that were made about God just a few decades ago: The Robe, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, etc. These were major movies that always showed the might and majesty of God. (Now is when you see the idea of backsliding at work). Look at what Hollywood produces today. Oh God, Bruce Almighty, Michael, Evan Almighty, etc. These movies are either blasphemous, or they make God appear to be a kindly, yet foolish old man who is tired of his work.
In recent times the only serious work that depicted factual events which transpired was the incredible movie, The Passion of the Christ. Look how Hollywood treated it. No one would even try to promote it. In this case, thank God for Mel Gibson.
The lies of the Hollywood elite are so transparent, they had two main objections to the movie: it was too violent. (LOL) If that it not an obvious lie to any person who has seen movies produced by Hollywood, then I have some immediate advice for you. Get your head out of the sand before you suffocate.
The other main objection was that it might hurt a group of people, if the truth was told. In this case it was the Jews, and the truth being told was that it was Jewish leaders of the day who demanded that Jesus be crucified. If it hurts, so be it, that is historical fact.
But, you will see that this objection was also just a lie. What about the movie, Schindler's List?
By only telling the truth and using historical facts, wouldn't this also hurt an entire group of people, in this case it would be the German people. Yet, of course, this movie was lauded by the elite in Hollywood. Backsliders, the whole lot of them! (Robin L. Johnson)

(SEVENTEEN) Today is the third year anniversary of writing Mei Sermo. It is also the 29th. anniversary of the date my dad died. If he were alive today he would be 88 years old: that's hard to imagine; he is still missed.
For the last several days something has been happening in Texas that everyone who names the name of Jesus Christ ought to be incensed over. What I am speaking about is the heavy-handed tactics by local (Texas) law enforcement against the LDS church.
First, let me say, and say clearly that I think a lot of what the Mormon church teaches is incorrect. However, that still does not give our government the right to force hundreds of people to leave the place where they live. Keep in mind the original complaint. It was allegedly brought by a 16 year old girl, and her complaint would not even be anything illegal (almost) anywhere, except Texas.
Several years ago when Clinton and Reno set in motion events that would cause the death of scores of young and innocent boys and girls at Waco, I despised the two of them for the blatantly illegal tactics that they both authorized which caused multiple deaths. Now we have in office a president that I voted for, not once but twice. He needs to bring whatever power he has to this small town in Texas and put a stop to the many rights violations that are taking place. And they are taking place.
Think about this. Imagine your own church where you attend and see how you would feel if this happened to you. Let us say that a 16 year old girl calls 911 and says that she was coerced into marrying an older man. (This is the supposed complaint that authorities in Texas are working on).
So, in answer to the complaint, dozens of law enforcement agencies show up to your church property and without yet even investigating the original complaint, they arbitrarily decide that it may be true and they order every person from six months to 17 years to be taken into protective custody! Naturally, all of the mothers of these children want to go with them, so they are also taken in. Where is due process? Where is innocent until proven guilty.
Normally I am not a big fan of lawyers, in this case I would like to make an exception. I sincerely hope that a small army of rabid, predatory, ambulance chasing, lawyers descend on that Texas town and they sue that particular county into bankruptcy.
Maybe if Obama gets elected we will become that socialist nation that many Democrats have been longing for. But, at least as of this day, we are still a Capitalistic and free society and neither our or any other government should have the right to do what they are doing in Texas. (Robin L. Johnson)

(EIGHTEEN) I thought I would write about something very sad. This story is sad on multiple levels. Of course, there is the temporary sadness of what is transpiring in this lifetime, but, this story also has eternal significance which makes it tragic also.
Near New Delhi, there is the village of Saini, Sanpura and a young child was born to parents who have only been married a short time and this is their first baby. Their firstborn child was born with a horrific birth defect. This type of defect is extremely rare and it is called, craniofacial duplication. In layman's terms, this poor little child has two faces.
You would have to agree that such a defect would make it virtually impossible for the child to live anything even close to what we would call a normal life. So, that in itself is sad. But to compound the problem is what many of the people in that area are doing about this. Many believe that she is a reincarnation of a false goddess, (Durga) and they are coming to this particular village to worship her.
So, the tragedy is not just a temporary thing, perhaps normal lifetime, but it will be compounded throughout eternity for all of the lost people who continue in the Hindu religion, and will not forsake their false gods and accept the redemptive work of Jesus the Christ.
My favorite preacher, Dr. Jack Hyles, used to say, "The world is a vale of tears." As a younger man, I'm not sure that I fully accepted or believed that. I mean, I could still find humor, and beautiful things all about me. However, as I grow older I am beginning to understand better what he used to say. And it is not just because of the millions of sad stories like the little girl in India.
More and more I understand that we (the human race) are not yet in the "land of the living." We, you and I, are in the "land of the dying." One day, and for those who are born again, we will leave this land of the dead, and dying, and we will enter into the place of "no mores." No more tears, heartache, pain, dying, sin, hate, darkness, etc. etc. etc. (And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes).
You ought to pray for Lali, the little baby in India, and for those people who are coming to worship her, to forsake their false gods and accept the Son of God: Jesus! (Robin L. Johnson)

(NINETEEN) I would like to begin today's blog with a Bible verse. Romans 1:20: "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."
I am going to talk about only one of the invisible things that God made when He created all things.
Before I explain why I think one of these invisible things (recently) worked to help rid the world of a very bad person, I want to see if the readers of this blog view God in the same way the Holy Bible teaches. Do you really believe that God is all-powerful? (I do). If you agree with me, then only one conclusion can be drawn from such a belief. The single conclusion is that nothing in all of the universe can happen without God, either causing, or allowing it to happen.
In other words, a great blessing happens to a man, family, nation, or the world... and God either caused it, or allowed it. Contrarily, a perceived tragedy happens to a man, family, nation, or the world... and God either caused it, or allowed it. Are we on the same page so far? An all-powerful God either causes or allows every event in the universe to transpire. (If the above is not true, then He would not be all-powerful.)
As I see events happening, I try to weigh them against history, and I try to figure if what happened was because of the divine will of God, or if what happened was only His permissive will: i.e. cause or allow. Sometimes, figuring events out, at least immediately after they happen, is harder than you might at first imagine. I will give just one illustration to try and show this.
When Clinton and Reno used military (type) force to steal the little Gonzales boy from his family in Florida, in order to return the child to a Communist dictator, I thought that surely this was God's permissive will in action. However, a few years later, I could see that it was more probably His divine will that was enacted in Florida on that day.
That single event incensed Cuban voters in Florida, and the same group that voted for the Democratic party (in overwhelming numbers) in the previous election: would vote in overwhelming numbers against the Democratic party in the next election, and because of that, Al Gore was narrowly defeated in the swing-state of Florida that year. Just think, if the little Gonzales boy had been left to peacefully sleep in his bed, President Bush would not have won Florida... and we would have had a Gore presidency. Wait a minute... because of that last thought ( possible Gore presidency) I think I'm going to have to go and throw up... back in a minute.
That's better, the bile has settled back into my stomach and I will now write about one of the invisible things. A hepatitis virus (approximately 50 nm) is invisible, unless it is viewed through a very powerful device, such as an atomic force microscope. A virus like this is so small that they are measured in (nm) nanometers, which is one-billionth of a meter. To give you some perspective on the size of a hepatitis virus I would like you to imagine the width of a single human hair. Now imagine something so small that it would take approximately 2,000 of them to span that single hair. Now I hope you can fully appreciate how very small that is.
Now imagine this very tiny thing killing a horrible excuse for a man, Abu Obeida al-Masri. Guess what, you do not have to imagine, apparently, that is what took his lousy life from him.
I feel no sympathy for such a man, he was directly responsible for the death of many innocent people. In addition to the killings that took place in London a few years ago, he was also the one who planned the failed attempt to blow ten planes up over major American cities. Many other atrocities which took place also had his fingerprints all over them. At least for now, I am going to catalog his death under the divine will of God.
Before finishing this blog, I would like you to imagine one more thing. Imagine this terrorist's surprise upon closing his eyes in death and immediately being in the presence of... an angry God, ready to send him to a devil's Hell. No virgins awaited this evil son of Belial, only an angry God exacting His vengeance! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY) Today's blog will be a "good news, bad news" pulse on America. (This will be similar to the good news, bad news theme of blog number six). The old girl is ill, and has been since shortly after WWII. And she became ill for the very same reason that King Solomon began his backsliding against God. The women he had in his life (1,000 +) held divergent views as it related to their faith. According to the Bible, Solomon's close association and love he had for some of them led to his own faith in God suffering. This is exactly what happened as our soldiers brought record numbers of girls (home to America) to be their wives from lands where they had previously worshiped pagan gods.
Some of the girls, thankfully, got saved and began to worship Jesus the Christ. The problem though, the majority did not and this led to many of the soldiers overthrowing their own faith for the pagan gods of their wives. What happened then was what is called the domino effect: little by little, then with ever growing speed you have beliefs beginning to topple at an alarming rate. And it all started because men did not heed the clear call of God to "separate from the ways of the heathen."
If you doubt this, look at many of the influential news-makers in Hollywood and major corporations and see how many of them promote "far Eastern" religions. Some of these committed leftists make continual trips to far away lands only to adopt children from cultures that are ungodly. That in itself would not be bad, if you are trying to rescue these children from terrible circumstances. However, every time I hear any of these people bringing children like this home, I alway hear them say that they will raise these children with the beliefs of their homeland. In other words, raise them to be continually pagan.
I have two thoughts about that. First, what profit is it to the child to save them from a terrible physical life in order to give them a much better life, only to have their souls damned by allowing them to be raised believing in false gods? The Bible states it best. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Bill Gates, Pitt, Madonna, Jolie, etc. etc. etc., are you listening?
My second thought on this would be, what is wrong with the millions of children in our own country who needs adopting? It seems that you can't wait to board a plane and go to "rescue" some child from a third world country and pass over all of the children here who need help. Wait, I know the answer, and of course so does the rest of the country. There is no free publicity in it if you only help an American child.
Now to the main point of today's blog. America may well be experiencing its death throes: in fact, if Obama is elected, and sworn in, I believe those people who are alive at that point will be witness to the beginning of the end as America being an autonomous, and powerful nation in world affairs.
My hope against such a deplorable outcome is found in many small things. One of which, I will now write about. A recent poll was conducted to determine the top ten (favorite) books of all time. Many of the top ten books on this list were written by people of dubious character and they certainly have (or had) their own agenda in writing their books. However, the number one favorite book of all time had 40 different authors and every one were men with sterling character! And all of these authors who were used to write this one book, had only one agenda. They all wanted to point fallen man to the only Being in all of the universe who could grant them eternal life; Jesus the Christ, the Son of God!
That's right, there is still hope for America, as the majority of American's still recognize as their favorite book, the Holy Bible! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-ONE) All day long I had planned to write about Obama's latest remarks where he was caught in an unguarded moment and showed his true elitist attitude, however, I have decided to write about something else tonight; truth be told, I'm more than a little sick of him anyway.
Today in our area we have a yearly tradition happening: Thunder over Louisville. Even though in the past I have gone to some of the shows and enjoyed them, tonight I will stay home with my dogs close by and enjoy a movie. Virgil, especially, becomes frightened as the loud fast planes fly close over the top of our house. From my front door step, and in my car I could drive to a prime viewing location along the Ohio river in three to four minutes.
Other than wanting to stay home with my dogs the other reason I don't care to go is the crowds of the last several years are above 500,000 people and although it is quick and easy to get to the river, it is a very long trip back trying to fight the crowds. So, tonight I stay home and hope everyone else has a great time.
At least, for me, the best thing about the day long event is the air show, which displays some of the mighty air arsenal America can send against its enemies. Whenever I see such displays of might I am reminded of the saying by Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick..." Whenever I see only a tiny fraction of the firepower that this country is capable of unleashing against an enemy, I realize once again that America certainly "carries an extremely large stick." (TWENTY-TWO) Every single day there is so much news happening that is interesting to me that it is difficult for me to choose what to write about, since I am trying to stick to only a single topic daily. Today I was most interested in Carter (again) showing his bias against the Jewish nation and I thought I would like to expound on this "wolf in sheep's clothing." And, Lord willing, one day I will do that, but not tonight. This blog will be about one of my pet peeves: a little history is in order.
I have been in sales for many years of my life. I suppose I am okay at it because sales has been my main source of income for most of my adult life and we have always gotten by. I wanted to tell you that so whenever I explain my pet peeve you will not imagine that it shows through to my many customers. If it did, I am sure that they would not purchase from me and that has never happened. Example, today, just one special order for a single customer was above $10,000.00 (dollars).
Here is my peeve. Although I write this to people of all ages, I am especially wanting to talk to those who do not have many years left. I am a realist, and in addition I believe the Bible and I think that we are in the end time. Because of that I know that a day is coming when the young man has no more days than the aged, and the aged has no fewer days than the very young: however, I am only writing this trying to make a point about daily living and assuming that the aged has less years to live than the very young.
Why do you care that a shade of paint on your wall needs to exactly match a couch cushion in your living room? Or all other inane questions and sentiments that are daily made by dozens of customers I regularly sell to.
Sometimes I feel like grabbing a couple by their shoulders and force them to look at me while I ask a series of questions. Do you really believe that one day you are going to die, and at your age, sooner than later? If you were told that this was your last day on Earth, would you be very concerned with the differences between Berber and frieze carpet? Today is Sunday, don't you have a church you could be going to? Life is short, don't you all have grandchildren who might enjoy a visit? If you knew you would die in three hours... try and think of 100 places you would rather be than here? If in fact you just thought of 100 other places, what are you doing here?
There are probably fifty more questions I would like to ask people along those same lines. I am a Capitalist and all for commerce and I am not against selling or buying. Although it has always seemed exceedingly stupid to me that people will invest huge portions of their time, energy, and money in the pursuit of acquiring... things!
I will tell you two short stories to better illustrate my point and then I will be done. The first has to do with the mother of the former governor of Texas. (Richards) She told of how her mother traveled the world collecting expensive and rare "treasures" and their mansion was filled with them. She told of how her mother would (daily) look at her treasures and get great pleasure from having them... until the day her doctor told her that she only had a short time to live. She said from that day until she died, all of those things she had purchased held no interest for her. She didn't look at them or talk about them. Instead, in her last few months of life she surrounded herself with friends and family. She didn't learn until too late, but things are just that, things.
Trust me, it really does not matter if your curtains, couch, and carpet do not all have the exact shade as the color of paint on your walls.
The other story also helps to put in perspective what is really important in this life. This family was the antithesis of the Richards as far as money was concerned, they were almost always poor. But let's see if you think the grandmother (in this story) had the right idea.
The adult children wanted to do something nice for their aged mother so they pooled their money and bought her a piece of carpet for her living room to replace her thread-bare rug. Everyone gathered together after the carpet was installed and the mother said all of the right things and was appreciative for the thoughtful gesture of her children.
Soda pop and cookies were passed around and they had a small party. All of a sudden one of the little grandchildren dropped his entire glass of red pop in the middle of the brand new carpet. All eyes turned to the elderly women because the only new thing she had been given in the last 20 years was now ruined. The little boy believing himself to be in trouble, burst into tears. The grandmother immediately went to him and hugging him tightly to her, said, "It's okay honey, now don't you cry, we have a lot more red pop."
The moral to today's blog is this: if you ever read about a salesman being arrested for grabbing two elderly people by their shoulders and trying to talk some sense into them, go easy with your thoughts about that guy... it will probably be me. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-THREE) I will continue today's blog with another complaint that I have. This one, though, is more than only being peeved about a perceived problem. My complaint today is legitimate and it is also shared (virtually) with every other American. Tomorrow, for many people is the most dreaded day on the calendar: April 15th! (tax time) What should be only another nice spring day, is somehow turned into something much worse because of the burden American politicians have placed upon the working public.
I have a little history lesson for any person who cares to take the challenge. Search the Internet, or your library shelf, and again read about the "Boston Tea Party." The part that I want to call to your attention is the incredibly small tax liability these people had: yet, they still felt over-burdened with the weight of their taxes. I shudder to think what those patriots would be dumping into the sea if they were to ever be told they had to carry even 10% of what many Americans are forced to pay in this day.
I believe it would be the politicians themselves who would be dumped into the ocean... far from land... with no life-jackets... no radios, or means of asking for help... each and everyone (before being dropped into the ocean) having been punished with a sturdy cat-o'-nine-tails... finally, bleeding and sore... they would be forced to swim in shark infested waters!
Wow, I feel better already just imagining the above scenario. If you owe taxes, then you and I will sometime (during the day) tomorrow drop an envelope in the mail addressed to your state and or federal government. If you are also like me you will repeat the famous (infamous?) words of Mercutio, "A plague o' both your houses." It is important to whisper this three times quickly and maybe it will come true. (LOL) Although I write the above tongue-in-cheek, that saying takes on added meaning if the two houses you are wishing the pox upon are the senate and house of representatives. By the way, just who exactly are they "representing?" It is most certainly not me.
If any elected person ever wants to be serious and completely fair as it relates to taxes, then our present tax system must be completely scrapped and a flat rate tax would be applied to all goods that are purchased! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-FOUR) It is time to talk about my favorite politician that I love to hate, Barak Obama. I will give him this... he is very smooth. Watch him speak and you will be reminded of the wares of a snake-oil salesman. The problem for Obama is what he is attempting to sell is himself, hence my alluding to snake-oil.
I want to clear something up before talking about Obama's latest faux-pas. The loathing I feel toward both people the Democrats are running for president has nothing to do with misogyny or racism. To prove that, I would vote for the ticket of Clarence Thomas and Barbara Bush, were they ever to decide to run for the office of President of the United States. Or, I could kill two birds with one stone by casting a vote for Condoleezza Rice, (a woman and black) if, she would ever take a strong stand against abortion. At present her views on infanticide, in my humble opinion, are disingenuous.
Keep in mind that you can not personally be against something while taking the position that it would be okay for others to do it. If you are for something, then you are for it for everyone: if you are against something, then you are against it for everyone.
While speaking in the home of the ultra-liberal Getty's, Obama, believing himself to be only in the company of like-minded elitists, once again let his guard down and said exactly what he believes!
Of course his stated belief flies in the face of two bedrock tenets of (both) our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Obama is against the Second Amendment which guarantees the rights of individuals to own firearms. It is idiotic to declare the Second Amendment any other way than for an individual's rights. Keep in mind that the First, Fourth, and Ninth Amendments (just like the Second) are to a "right of the people," not states or National Guard.
Obama is a faker when it comes to his own "personal faith" in God. Again, this is a concept foreign to the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson wrote, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness..."
There is a very important reason why I wanted to write about something from both of those historical documents before exposing Obama's attempted cover-up from what he originally said while speaking in a private residence in San Francisco.
Those two documents are center to our nation's very existence and belief in God and the rights of individuals to bear guns were commonly understood by all of our early leaders. Be sure to keep that thought in mind as you read Obama's statement. Obama is telling this (mostly) liberal crowd about what happens to people within a community as all around them jobs are being lost. He said, "And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain."
Never mind the fact that faith in God and gun ownership predates our country, to the elitist Obama, people only "cling to guns or God" because they are "bitter" toward government. What an idiot this man is. Not only (with those remarks) did he malign 97% of all American's who purport to have a belief in God, he also ascribed all those who think American jobs are being lost to foreign invaders as xenophobes. Will someone besides myself please call him an idiot, it's early and I'm tired.
Now, tell me again that Obama is a "man of faith," and a follower of the Lord Jesus. It appears to me that his only faith is in the religion of Humanism. That is, as long as government does not make you "bitter" and cause you to go scurrying after some old religion.
Well, I have news for Obama, long before I ever saw his face or heard his name, I had faith in God and I practiced my right to bear and carry a firearm! And I did this even during the time when the government was sailing along quite smoothly under Ronald Reagan, and I wasn't even "bitter," imagine that.
As I write this blog a Bible lays on my desk (inches from my fingertips) and a loaded 357 Magnum Caliber Sturm. Ruger is just two steps away from my desk. With the Word of God for guidance and my 357 in hand, I am always ready to repel all invaders... foreign and domestic!
In finishing today's blog I want to show you the duplicitous way that Obama is trying to get people away from what he originally said. The sad truth, for many Americans who only get their news from liberal agencies ( see number THREE blog) it might work. Obama and his willing co-conspirators in liberal news have begun referring to the error in his "bitter speech" and the fact that he might have misspoke. However, he never talks about his statement about "guns or religion." He only implies that he should not have said that people in small town America were, "bitter," because of job loss. Now you have liberal news only playing this part of his speech and his apology about using the word "bitter" and it sounds like a non-story.
So, if some Americans (who only get news from ABC, CNN, etc.) are only now hearing about this, they do not know of Obama's maligning people's faith in God, their Second Amendment right, and stating that small town America is comprised of (mostly) people who are xenophobic.
My prayer is the man keeps making impromptu speeches that are not written and carefully parsed by his professional speech writers. For, honestly, if the majority of Americans knew what was in his heart, he would not get enough nationwide votes to make him the dog-catcher in Clark County, Indiana. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-FIVE) The Supreme Court, as expected, upheld state's rights to execute convicted murderer's by lethal injection. Any person with any acumen at all, as it pertains to legal matters, knew the court would rule this way. A sane person might ask, Why then did liberals push the case all of the way to the Supreme Court, knowing they would fail? Answer: to waste time, money, and court resources. If you think I have libs pegged wrong, listen to Pat Delahanty (just across the river from where I live) head of--Coalition to Abolish Death Penalty: "We never expected it to do more than maybe slow down executions in Kentucky or elsewhere." This was a direct quote immediately after the Supreme Court made their 7-2 ruling.
And of course, within two hours of the ruling the governor of Virginia lifted the state's moratorium on executing killers and the state can proceed with setting future dates for murderers to be put to death. Bravo for the governor of that state: Tim Kaine. Perhaps he is remembering the mass killings at Virginia Tech and the need for the state to put to death those who kill indiscriminately.
Make no mistake about it, these killers, who are executed in our prison system, are always put to death in a more gentle way than they killed their victims.
I bet without ever reading the story online you could name the two liberals on our nation's highest court that were the dissenters. Of course it was Ginsburg, a card carrying member of the wicked ACLU, and Souter.
In the book, MEI Sermo I write quite a bit about the two intertwined subjects of infanticide (abortion) and capital punishment. I will not rehash all of that on this blog, however, I will make one salient point and ask each of you to honestly consider what I say.
As a saved (born again) person I am against infanticide and I am for convicted killers being executed. Since all unborn babies are innocent of any wrongdoing, I will say it another way: "I am for the innocent being given life and I am for the guilty (murderers) being executed." That is my position as a saved person. If you are a liberal, or you know a liberal, ask them if what follows is their position.
The platform for the Democrat party (and all liberals) is: They are for infanticide (abortion) and they are against capital punishment. Let me say it another way: Even though all unborn babies are innocent of any wrongdoing, they want to be able to kill innocent babies on demand (which is any reason whatsoever) and even if a man (or woman) would be a mass murderer and guilty of many people dying, liberals want to give these people life. (no death penalty)
Let me now say it very succinctly.
Conservative Republican: Give life to the innocent, and give death to the guilty!
Liberal Democrat : Give death to the innocent, and give life to the guilty!
Imagine for just a moment that you believe in God, and because of that belief in Him you know that one day you will stand before Him and give an account of your life. Which of the two views that have been expressed would you feel comfortable defending before God? Either you believe it is okay to quite literally dismember (vacuum aspiration) innocent unborn babies, but you must not hurt ruthless killers, or, you would give your life to protect an innocent child, but you do not have an qualms about seeing killers killed.
As a conservative voter, I vote for only those people who are against infanticide and who are for the death penalty.
If you are a liberal and vote for Democrats, you will be voting for a party that is for killing innocent babies, yet they will not put to death convicted killers.
Many people stay in the Democrat party because they somehow believe it is the party of JFK. It's not even close. If he were alive today he would have abandoned that party. He would not be for killing millions and millions of unborn children. If you are a Democrat and you have any heart left, you ought to drop all affiliation with it and vote for men and women who will protect the most helpless and vulnerable in our society. (TWENTY-SIX) I thought I would write a brief blog this morning and make two points about the leader of the catholic church visiting our country. Though I believe many of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church are wrong, I am happy for all of the positive press that this man brings to the Lord Jesus. Visits like this are beneficial in order to help curb the evil influence the ACLU and other socialistic groups like them have on our country.
Other than the good press he brings for the Lord, the only other point I want to make is the fact that yesterday the pope celebrated his 81st. birthday!
The reason I wanted to mention that is the foolish remarks the very liberal Murtha made about John McCain being too old for president because he is 71. If you want to get rid of old doddering relics in politics, I can tell you three people you might begin with: John Murtha, Teddy Kennedy, and Robert Byrd.
The reason I wanted to mention the age of the pope (ten years older than McCain) is I have not heard any liberal politician say that he is too old to do his job. They wouldn't dare! The libs are cowards, every one of them.
President Reagan (most influential president since Lincoln) brought about the fall of the Soviet Union and during that time he was older than John McCain is now. Senator McCain ought to go on the offensive and use his age as a positive; experience, wisdom, etcetera. It is only in our own country that the aged are set aside, or sent to nursing homes in order to be forgotten. Many other cultures revere their aged because of the many years of learning and life experiences they have had.
Although I will not cast a vote in this election, unless John McCain takes a strong stand against experimenting on human embryos: then I will vote for him. Otherwise, for the first time in my adult life, I will not go to my local precinct to cast my vote. I refuse to be found guilty before God for helping to kill "totally innocent" human life by voting into office a person who will work to continue America's greatest single sin: infanticide! (Robin L. (TWENTY-SEVEN) Today I will write about three events, one will be new and one I first mentioned on April 8 which was blog number seventeen. The last one I have spoken about several times.
We had a mild earthquake (5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale) in our area this morning and I slept through it, blissfully unaware of the ground shaking. This type of quake is considered moderate and we have approximately 800 of these per year. I hope someone wakes me if I happen to be asleep while we are experiencing an earthquake that would register a ten on the Richter scale. (LOL)
One of these days I would like to use the Bible and an old cancer brochure to teach a central truth about the Second Coming of Christ; especially as it relates to earthquakes and other naturally occurring phenomena. But, in order to make a sound argument it takes several pages of writing. Perhaps one of these days I will put together something on this blog and create a link to it: I believe, if you like prophetic teaching from the Bible, you would find it interesting. However, for now, since no one was apparently hurt (and damage to property was slight) from today's shaking, I would like to wish everyone in our region of the country a happy earthquake day.
Another thing I want to mention is the continued onslaught by local law enforcement against the LDS church in Texas. Now it is coming out that the original 911 call which prompted the local zealots in Texas to act with Gestapo like tactics against this church, was a prank call!
As I said in my earlier blog when the story first broke on the wire services, I hope a lot of people in that area (who moved against this church) are sued into personal bankruptcy, and these mothers get their children back. We have had Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales (Miami), to name only three cases where our government overstepped their authority and every case resulted in tragedy. My prayer is that this one turns out better for the members of that church and their families.
Personally I am not a friend to the LDS church and I do not agree with many of their teachings. However, I am certainly no friend to jack-booted thugs who abuse their governmental authority and tread on the rights of Americans. We are supposed to have due process in this country and the presumption of innocence. The government (in this case) had no right to assume that every child on the church property was in danger based on one unsubstantiated telephone call. And because of that prank call, they separated more than 400 children from their mothers. In my humble opinion, someone ought to organize a million man/woman march against such SS tactics being used in this small Texas town.
Do you want to hear the most hilarious part about this entire situation. Listen to the supposed moral outrage in the voice of the reporters as they report that they actually have some evidence that a couple of the girls might have given birth to a child at fifteen years of age! This is almost too funny for me to sit upright and continue typing. I want to hold my sides and howl with laughter. Go to the vast majority of every single public school in America today and you will find (by the multiplied thousands) girls fifteen and younger who are pregnant! In fact, teenage pregnancy is such that many public schools have daycare providers on school property in order that students can have a place to leave their babies while their teenage mothers attend class. Total and complete hypocrisy is what we see on display today in Texas, as well as by every single reporter I have seen talking about the case.
Do you want to know what is even more sad than the miscarriage of justice in Texas today. If the young girls at the LDS church had sought government aid in order to have their unborn babies murdered, instead of giving them life, then this would have been a non-story.
The last thing I want to mention has to do with the pope and preacher Wright. Before I make that comment I want to explain why I would never attach a grand sounding title to any leader of any church on Earth, such as father, holy, or reverend, and etcetera. We are told (in Scripture) that we have a Father which is God. And the word reverend is found only one time in the entire Bible, and it is a name that is given to God. No man should take a name that was attributed to God and use it as his own! Psalm 111:9: "He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name." Again, that is the only time the word is found in the Bible; it is another name for God!
What I just wrote is why you do not find true Bible believing preachers assigning the word, "reverend" to their title. They are either, pastor, preacher, brother, etc. Some Bible believing preachers, if they have doctorates will use that as a title: Dr. Hyles, etc.
Finally I would like to make mention of a statement that the pope made about America and contrast that with what preacher Wright said about his own country. Yesterday afternoon, on the White House lawn the last three words the pope said was, God bless America. Now contrast that with what the race-baiting preacher Wright said about America as he asked the good Lord to damn America. Now of course we know that this, "Whitey's keepin' me down" preacher is moving into a multi-million dollar home in an area that is 98% white! Well, I guess "whitey" didn't keep him down after all, and now he can have backyard barbecues with his all white neighbors! I have to be honest with you, I'm going to be laughing about this one all day long. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-EIGHT) I have a question for you. If I, as a White man, attend a church where our central teachings were proclaimed by the statement that follows, would I be a racist person?
"We are a congregation which is unashamedly White and unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting, and permanent. We are an American people, and remain true to our native land. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White community."
Did you answer yes?
I have another question for you. If Obama, as a Black man, attends a church where the central teachings of his church were proclaimed by the statement that follows, would he be a racist person?

Keep in mind that it is either yes or no for both of the above examples. Unless you are an idiot, it cannot be yes for one and no to the other. For my money, the answer is yes to either example. The point that I want to make is the above paragraph is verbatim from Obama's church web page. Therefore, only one logical conclusion can be drawn. Obama is a member (in good standing) and has regularly attended (for more than 20 years) a church that is unapologetically racist.
Their pastor's entire message is predicated for the black, to the black, with the black, about the black, of the black...black...black...black...black...black. And honestly, I do not particularly care. After all, there are at present and have been men from the past (of all races) who are avowed racists. Just look at Farrakhan, Malcolm X, David Duke, Robert Byrd: to only list four names of well-known racists.
My only point for Obama and his minions is this: truly be brave and unapologetic (to use a word from your own church's web page) and admit what and who you are; i.e., racist and haters of America.
If anyone doubts the "hater of America" part, try asking Obama to pledge allegiance to the American flag, or simply wear a flag lapel pin, or at the very least, refer to "America," (the place where you live) on your church's web page: instead of twice mentioning the Dark Continent. Or, you could do all of us a big favor: immediately move back to the land you claim to love; Africa. You could ask your pastor to sell his multi-million dollar home (in the gated all-white community) and use the proceeds to purchase airline tickets for everyone in your church who feels the same way.
But, if he refuses to do this, I have another idea. I will start a grass-roots effort to collect enough money for you and everyone else who cares to follow you to Africa. Just let me know and I would be more than willing to help. In fact, in order to show my earnestness about this, I pledge $1.00 to get the ball rolling. Anyone care to join me?
I think though that you would find a singular truth were you ever to move to Africa. And I will give you that truth from a black comedian: Redd Foxx. He said that one time a white person hollered at him and told him to go back to Africa. He thought about it for a minute and then said, "Now, wouldn't I look like a fool standing in the middle of the jungle wearing a $750.00 mohair suit."
Now, as a white person, I am inviting Obama, Wright, Farrakhan, and all like-minded blacks to go back to Africa. And it is not because I dislike black people. (TWENTY-NINE) In order to introduce the subject matter for today's blog I have decided to give a little Bible lesson and it will require a small amount of effort on your part. There is a prophet in the Bible that God had decided to show many of the evils which were continually being done against the Lord, and these evils were being committed by men who were supposed to be serving God. After each terrible vision and occurrence of seeing people sin, the Lord said to His prophet something similar to, "...turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these."
I imagine this particular prophet thought that the last sin he had just seen was the worst, and then the Lord would give him another vision of even greater sins being committed. Be the first to email me with the name of the prophet I am speaking about and at least one of the evil things he witnessed God's people doing... and you win... absolutely nothing. Other than the satisfaction of knowing the Bible well enough to find this particular story. Good for you!
Based upon the above story in the Bible, I would like to call your attention to only three of the many evil groups in our country today. The United Nations, in New York city, are at present and have always been a Communist apologist and left-leaning organization that, as a country, we would be better off if it ceased to exist.
But, "... turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these." The ACLU is an organization that will fight for every thing that is abhorrent within the United States of America, and it will fight against everything which is wholesome and good in our country. (I recently read of a tragic accident where a bus carrying 30 lawyers from the ACLU plunged over a thousand foot cliff and burst into flames upon impact: there were no survivors. The tragedy: it was a 60 passenger bus and only half-full.)
But, ..."turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these." The NEA, as a group, is one of the more evil influences within our country today. First, of course, they do not educate very well. They are good at indoctrination and trying to rob innocent young people of their faith in God, but they are terrible educators. By many billions of dollars spent every year in this country on public education (per child) we far outspend every other nation on Earth. Yet, we are always near the bottom of all other industrialized nations as it relates to demonstrable testing. The NEA is reprehensible as a teaching group, but what follows is what they excel at. John Freshwater, a teacher in Mount Vernon, Ohio has been ordered to remove his personal Bible from his desk: he refused, good for him.
John, take this fight all of the way to the Supreme Court. For the first time in many decades we have men on the court who understand the framers of our Constitution never intended for the First Amendment to be used in the way that many liberals are trying to use it today. Separation of church and state as is being extolled by the NEA and other far left organizations is clearly wrong, and I will prove that to you. But first, I want to make a point about how confusion on any written subject matter can be easily cleared up by just asking the author.
Suppose for a moment that a paragraph I wrote in a book was not very clear or easily understood by the person who was reading it. (I am sure that nothing like that could ever really happen, but bear with me as I am trying to make a point.) Wouldn't it make sense to just ask me what I meant in whatever paragraph you were having trouble understanding? If I am the author of the material I could more fully explain what I was trying to say. With that in mind I now want to prove the NEA, ACLU, and other liberal groups are dead wrong in their understanding of the First Amendment.
I am going to give you just six quotes from men and groups who helped to write, and lived during the time our Constitution and Declaration of Independence was born. "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." The man who said that was John Jay, he co-authored the Federalist Papers and he was the First Chief-Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
"Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is Divine. ...far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other." James Wilson wrote the above quote and he was signer of both our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
"One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law... There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying at its foundation... I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society." The man who wrote that has been called, "The father of American Jurisprudence." Joseph Story was a United States Supreme Court Justice.
In 1854 we had a sane and competent Congress, unlike today. March 27, 1854: Congress weighed in with the following proclamation; "At the time of the adoption of the Constitution and the amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged... In this age there can be no substitute for Christianity... That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants."
I want you to carefully read an unanimous ruling by our Supreme Court in 1892. "There is no dissidence in these (legal) declarations... These are not individual sayings, declarations of private persons: they are organic (legal, governmental) utterances; they speak the voice of the entire people... These, and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation."
Finally, for men like John, and others who carry their Bible to public school. Listen to what the early Supreme Court, the men who knew and helped to author the document had to say. Vidal v. Girard-- another unanimous decision rendered by the High Court, "Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testament, without note or comment, be read and taught as a divine revelation in (schools) -- its general precepts expounded, its evidences explained and its glorious principles of morality inculcated? ...Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testament?"
In Mei Sermo I have many more quotes than the few I have listed above. But, all of them are saying the same thing. America, and all of its private and public schools were to be places where Christ and the teachings of the Holy Bible were to be of paramount importance. (THIRTY) After today's blog I will send this to the archives under Hope for America and begin another set of 30 days with a new title.
I was going to write about a former president ("Idiot in Chief") Jimmy Carter and his latest antics in the Middle East. He is like the not so closeted (racist) Wright, except Carter's particular racism is commonly referred to as anti-Semitism. At least though it finally appears as if very few people in the world are taking him seriously anymore. He has become that old embarrassing relative, who at family reunions people try their best to ignore.
Instead of Carter, I thought I would write about something really important, Virgil ...the Amazing "Earthquake Dog!" He is either better than a seismometer, or he was cold. I'm not sure.
Last week, one day before we had the earthquake in a neighboring state my wife said she was going to call me at work because she was concerned with the way that Virgil was acting. He had pressed tightly against her legs and he began shivering like a person with ague. She said that for several minutes she could not calm him down. Within 12 hours of him doing that we had an earthquake.
A few minutes ago as I sat down to type this blog about Carter, Virgil came in and sat down beside my chair and began shivering and trembling. I got up and walked him into the other room and began to pet and console him until he calmed down. As of this last sentence being typed, he appears perfectly normal and just a few feet from me he is happily munching on his breakfast food.
So, if we have another earthquake shortly, Virgil is more amazing than even I think he is: if such a thing is possible. If we do not, then my "boy" was evidently a little cold this morning.
Virgil, not unlike countless other animals are more attuned to weather events than humans are. For example, before we ever see the first flash of lightning or hear the deep rumble of thunder, we know a storm is on its way because Virgil will get down on the floor and he refuses to climb on any furniture, even when we are calling to him. For whatever reason, he seems to "feel safer" if he stays close to the floor.
So, because of Virgil, my best advice for you today is to practice what the Jehovah's Witness members do in order to stay safe during an earthquake. Question: Why are JW's always the safest people on Earth during an earthquake? Answer: It is because they are always standing in someone's doorway! (Robin L. Johnson)

There are many reasons why I dislike this man so intensely. It is much more than his relationship with his pastor's continual whining, and his "Whitey's keepin' me down" message. And it is more than him turning his back to the flag and refusing to hold his hand over his heart as the Pledge of Allegiance is being said. We get it Obama, you are just another "typical black liberal" who hates America.
The main reason I despise this man is his bloody hands on infanticide. Of course, the other Democrat in the race is no better on this issue either. In the Illinois legislature Obama opposed a Born-Alive infants bill that would have protected the poor babies who survive the abortion doctor's evil intent. These children are left (on a table outside the womb) to strangle, suffer, and die and they are given no care or comfort. Unlike waterboarding being used on a murdering terrorist, what happens to the unborn and born (outside the womb) at Planned Parenthood is real torture. Think strongly about this before you vote for a baby murdering Democrat!
I began this blog with an old saying about genealogy. I did this because of historical records showing kinship between some of the candidates in the political races today. It doesn't surprise me that Obama is related to Brad Pitt, and Hillary is related to both Jolie and Madonna; after all, "Birds of a feather..." etc., etc.
Nor does it surprise me that John McCain is related to (both) King Louis VII, and Laura Bush. But, hold onto your hat, Obama is a distant (along the lines of 10th. cousins... twice removed... etc.) relative of Robert E. Lee, Sir Winston Churchill, past President Gerald Ford, and our present president: George Bush. (Now it is time to insert the old saying I began with).
Talk about a black sheep in the family. It must be that the white woman from Kansas (Barak's mother) and her ancestors got around a lot. (Robin L. Johnson)

(FIVE) There is an old joke that says a man asked a woman if she would have sex with him if he gave her $100,000 thousand dollars. She thought for a minute and said, "Sure." He then repeated what he wanted and this time only offered her five dollars. She clutched her breast and in an indignant tone said, "What do you think I am?"
He answered, "Well, we already know what you are, now we're just haggling over the price."
Today in the news we see that "Baghdad Jim" McDermott and two of his cohorts (just like the prostitute in our joke) were also for sale. Only this time they were being bought with Saddam Hussein's oil in exchange for being liberal mouthpieces against ousting Hussein from power in Iraq.
Once Muthanna Al-Hanootinti (rhymes with "patootie") knew these men could be bought, all that was left was haggling over the price. In case you want to know, the going price for liberal sell-outs, I mean liberal senators is "666" thousand barrels of oil for each senator who was purchased. Now where else are those three sixes also prominently featured?
I just figured a way that the Democrat senators in our nation's capitol might actually do some good. If only 50 of them are sellouts, and I think that is a given, here is what they can do. A 42 gallon barrel of oil will yield nearly 20 gallons of gasoline. If on any given day in America we burn approximately 360 million gallons of gasoline, and if the present day Democrats can get the same rate that "Baghdad Jim" got, and if I did my math correctly, then for two whole days (in this country) our gasoline energy needs would be met!
C'mon, will at least 50 of you liberal Democrat senators finally do some good: openly sellout and fill my car with gasoline. Thank you very much! (Robin L. Johnson)

(SIX) I have a question for you. Do you like it whenever someone says, "I have good news and bad news, which one do you want first?" I suppose how you would answer that question probably reveals something about your personality, however, I don't particularly like the form of that question: even though I am going to use it on you.
The part about your answer revealing something about your personality only means it would tell me how you might approach other things in your daily life. Example: whenever I am eating supper and there is a variety of food on my plate, I begin with my least favorite food and I consume it first. I continue in that manner until I finish with whatever happens to be my favorite food. In that way I always finish with a food that I like a great deal. This is probably not a novel idea, I mean, dessert usually comes at the end of a meal, doesn't it?
I also approach other things in my life the same way. If I have some chores that I must attend, I get whatever I like the least out of the way first, in that way I finish with whatever chore I like the most.
Because I live my life that way, if I had to answer the good news bad news type of question, I would get the bad out of the way right off the bat. Let's see how you do it.
"I have good news and bad news, which one do you want first?"
The bad news is that Barnes and Noble (online) has more than a million (1,000,000) titles of books for sale. The good news is that my latest book I have published (Mei Sermo) is in the top 25% in sales. I suppose it is the glass half-full sort of thing. I'm glad it's not in the bottom 25%, nevertheless, I certainly wish that it were in the top 1%, especially with 1,000,000 titles available.

(SEVEN) Do you like jokes? I do. Here is a very funny one. "The Earth has warmed up approximately one degree within the last 100 years... (ready for the punchline) and it is man's fault!" Now everyone out there can laugh and laugh and laugh.
Global Warming, as the political movement, is one of the biggest jokes perpetrated on mankind over the last 50 years.
First of all, ...if... the Earth is warming, or cooling, man could not cause it, or change it, if they set their minds to it and tried very hard! In my book (Mei Sermo) I use a great deal of material to debunk our poor demented friend Al. I won't go through all of that on this blog; however, I will ask you to look something up online and read it for yourselves.
In Newsweek (28, April 1975) there was an article by Peter Gwynne, and it was full of "scientific data" and a lot of blame (toward mankind) and hand-wringing because of the soon coming ice-age! I am not joking. Just 33 years ago the very same scientists who are predicting dire circumstances because of global-warming, were predicting the very same dire consequences for mankind because of global-cooling.
In the article they spoke of the growing icecaps at the poles and how ground temperature had dropped between 1945-1968, etc. It is silliness, all silliness. I am writing about this today because of all of the stupid people and nations who will participate in Earth-hour and they will go dark. I too plan to participate. Although, I will do it by going bright. I am going to turn on all of the televisions in my house at the same time. There are four of them. Every light will be burning, all radios (three) will be playing, My computer will be on, well that last one is not a threat for the tree-huggers out there because it stays on all of the time anyway. The heat will be on, whether we need it or not. Duke Energy will love me tonight, because any and everything that can burn fuel (in and around my house) will be used tonight. I only lament the fact that my wife has already taken down all of the Christmas decorations, because I guarantee you that they would all be lit as well.
Well, I have to go, I just decided that I might want to run around for awhile in my car, making as many unnecessary and useless trips as I can for the next few hours. Now I hate the fact that I didn't buy a bigger gas guzzler. I have an idea though, I will top the tank and not tighten the gas cap... my rebellion knows no bounds!

(EIGHT) I already know that this will be my longest posting to date. It is because as soon as I read about the story, and followed some of its immediate aftermath, my mind began to fill with thoughts. I am going to ask you to come back to this blog this evening, though, in order to read what I am going to write. It is because, at least for me, I woke up "late" and I have to leave for work in the next few minutes. I will give you a teaser though about the content of what today's blog will be about. I am doing this so that you can read up on the story and form some opinions before you read what I write.
I will be writing about the sad story of the beautiful little 11 year old girl, Madeline Neumann. See you this evening.
6:00 p.m. Did you read about this young girl? Apparently her immediate family members are people of faith and they do not believe in going to doctors for help whenever anyone falls ill: instead, they go only to the Great Physician, God. In this case, quite possibly, it might have cost the little girl her life, no one knows for sure. That last thought is what brings me to the several points I want to make in today's blog.
There are so many crazy people in this country that at times it can seem hopeless. Unless you heard the radio call-in shows, or took part in online voting about this story, you might not believe how crazy many people actually are. Example: 70% of polled voters say they believe in prayer, but, 84% said "prayer only" should not be allowed and parents ought to be forced (by our government) to seek medical aid for their children. For the 84% in this last group, I have two questions for you. First: Are you all insane? Secondly: Do you not think things through before you make such statements?
I am very much afraid that in this country, and in the minds of many liberals, we have become a nanny state. In part, it is due to wrongheaded thinking by people like Hillary and her, "It takes a village" sentiment regarding raising children. I have news for her, "No it doesn't." All it takes is a nuclear family: dad, mom, and children. No sound thinking person ought to want the government more involved in our daily lives than they already are.
But, there is another major reason, besides more government intrusion into our daily lives, why the Neumann's, or any other family should never be forced to seek medical care for someone who is ill. Before I state that reason, let me tell you something about myself.
If I or anyone I love is ill, I would both pray for their recovery and encourage them to find a good doctor who might be able to prescribe something that would aid in their recovery. I wanted to get that out of the way before I write the next several paragraphs.
Are you all aware of what the three leading causes of death are in this country? Most of you have probably heard of numbers one and two, heart disease and cancer. But I bet number three on the list of killers in this country will send you running for your dictionaries in order to see how to pronounce it. Just think, something is killing 250,000 (thousand) Americans each year and you probably have never even heard the word; it is called iatrogenic.
Let me break that large number (250,000 deaths each year) down, in order to give you some perspective. If it takes you only ten minutes (600 measly seconds) to read this blog, 5 Americans will have died because of this severe medical problem! Approximately 28 Americans die every hour, needlessly, because of this. Basically the term means, "induced in patients." In other words, the medical profession is killing 250,000 people (by accident) each and every single year. Let me state that number another way. In more than five years of fighting a war in Iraq, against the enemies of our country and our way of life, we have lost 4,000 of our bravest sons and daughters. That is tragic indeed, however, every six day period more Americans will die because of doctor error, than has died in a five-year long war! This means that (if I did my math correctly) you are 304 times more likely to die by your family doctor accidentally killing you, then if you were (today) fighting in Iraq. There is a moral to this story: if you want to be safe(r), join the Army, and stay away from doctors.
According to the Journal American Medical Association, Dr. Barbara Stanfield of John Hopkins breaks the accidental deaths down in five different categories. Unnecessary surgery, 12,000 deaths ... medication errors, 7,000 deaths ... etc. She continues to assign numbers for deaths due to infections people get just because they are in the hospital, and there is a category for no error, but a bad side-effect because of a medicine that was prescribed by a doctor. There is even a category assigned for "other errors:" which resulted in the death of a patient; 20,000 Americans will die this year because of ... "other errors" from doctors and health care providers.
Tragically, I, and my immediate family, have first-hand experience about doctor error. My Dad at 59 years of age had Type 2 diabetes. His diabetes had for years been controlled by a daily pill and diet. one day though, he became ill and we took him to the emergency room for evaluation. His personal physician could not be reached (playing golf maybe) and an attending doctor made his own diagnosis, give him a shot of insulin: even though he had never before been prescribed insulin. The result: death came very quickly.
My mom, eight years later, also at age 59 had a minor stroke. When I went to the hospital to see her, there was no apparent lingering effect: full speech, coherent, and motor skills. Her doctor made a decision to keep her for a few days for "observation." My Mom was a nurse and I honestly believe their decision to keep her was based on the fact that she had very good insurance. I guarantee that if she were self-employed, with no health care insurance, and with no outward signs of her small stroke having harmed her, she would have been released without those extra days of "observation."
Of course it was those "extra days" in the hospital that led to her death. Incidentally, what happened to her kills more than 100,000 Americans each year. While in the hospital a person develops an infection or pneumonia, etc., and it leads to their death. About her fourth day in, she developed an infection, a few days more and she had pneumonia, and was transferred to intensive care. 18 days later she died: a death that was caused from staying too long in a hospital.
My sister-in-law died years before she should have because of doctor error. To be fair, she always had a bad heart. In fact, this was her second surgery and she was only in her early 30's. They were going to repair a valve that was leaking. Once inside, the doctor saw that (in his estimation) within the next three to five years she would probably have to have more surgery, so he decided to replace all of them during this surgery. Problem was, after removing the valves, he found that her heart was not in good enough shape to reattach the ones he had just chosen to remove. She died without waking up.
I went in for routine outpatient surgery. In fact, it was minor enough that even though I was in a hospital operating room, I was told I should be able to go home within an hour of the surgery being complete. There was a problem. I awoke with the gown having been torn from my chest and a team of concerned looking doctors holding defibrillator paddles in front of my eyes. My pastor, who had been waiting to drive me home heard the "code blue" being paged, and he said that he knew it was for me. In the recovery room my anesthesiologist told me that he became more afraid in that operating room, during the time my heart had stopped, than at any time during his tour in Vietnam.
Poor little Madeline had developed diabetic keto acidosis, too little insulin in her body. Perhaps prayer, with good doctor care would have saved her. But, none should be so foolish to imagine that there was any guarantee that even under doctors care she would have fared any better. If you don't believe me just ask the 5 Americans who died during the time you were reading this blog. Wait a minute, you can't ask these people... their doctor just accidentally killed them! Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred three score and six."
In eight days I will be coming upon my third year anniversary of beginning to write Mei Sermo: (April 8, 2005). With that book, every time I finished chapters I had them uploaded to the Internet and they were available for anyone to read for free. I am writing these facts so that you might have a little better time-line to see how things are progressing on comments I made in chapter two, The Fool Squared, as it relates to a current news item that Fox News spent several minutes on discussing yesterday morning. In my book I wrote ten pages on this subject, and went into much more detail on what is taking place. On this blog I can only skim the surface. (I wanted to write about this yesterday, but I had already made a decision that I wanted to talk about the young child, Madeline).
Does anyone know what George J. Laurer, UPC, MIS, ICD, RFID, FDA, or VeriChip, have in common? I will tell you what each one stands for and see if you can determine what is the LCD (lowest common denominator) for this group. (UPC--Universal Pricing Code), (MIS--Microchip Identification System), (ICD--Integrated Circuit Device), (RFID--Radio-Frequency Identification Tag), (FDA--Food and Drug Administration), VeriChip, the company that was given approval by the aforementioned FDA, to implant microchips into human beings. This procedure has now been done by hundreds of doctors and scores of hospitals on many of their patients.
Of course, Mr. Laurer was the inventor of the UPC bar codes that make it possible for all items to be easily scanned for purchase. After his invention (bar code) all that had to happen in order to make it possible to fulfill the above three Bible verses was to have something that could be implanted in (not on) their right hand, or in (not on) their foreheads. In addition to having the means available, there must also be an acceptance of the practice.
That started several years ago with pets being implanted. Then, in 1998, it was reported that the first human was implanted with a microchip: April 2002, (Today Show) millions watched as an entire family (Jacobs) from south Florida was implanted.
We now have compatibility with all products (for sale) being "marked" and the people who wishes to purchase the products also being "marked." One day, (soon) all you will have to do in order to make a purchase is pass your "implanted right hand" over the "interrogator" (this is what the device is called that "reads" RFID tags) and your purchase will be complete, and so will the above verses be complete. (And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.)
The three men who were discussing this on Fox News yesterday were debating the merits of our government forcing parents to have their children implanted! Of course, it would be for their own good, it was said. One day, as soon as children are born in the hospital, they will be implanted with microchips, just as they (at this time) are instantly assigned Social Security Numbers. Welcome to Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our very eyes and many end time events!
If you think I'm crazy, "I'm not," he said, as he sits in his underwear while typing his blog and wearing a hat made of tinfoil, just in case the government is trying to read his mind, "but a few of the voices in my head might be. At least one of them, I'm pretty sure is psychotic!"

(TEN) Earlier today my wife and I saw the greatest movie we have ever seen; it was called, No Country for Old Men: it was by the fabulous brothers, Joen and Ethan Coen... Alright, I can't keep this farce up any longer. This is my April Fools joke on you. Since no one knows for certain why we play jokes on people on this day, I will not elaborate any more about this: other than to say, you have to admit that my trick is better than, "Your shoe is untied."
I called my daughter, who lent me the tape to watch, and "thanked her" for allowing my wife and I to waste six hours of our life. What? You mean the movie wasn't six hours long! I get it, it just seemed like it was.
At first I thought that No Country for Old Men might be the worst movie that I watched through to the end, (there are many that I never finish) but then I remembered, Hudson Hawk, The Life Aquatic, and Barton Fink. In my defense, though, I sometimes watch till the end of a bad movie firmly believing that it just has to get better and have some point to it.
My daughter and I were talking about this movie and she made the point that it is the "Emperor's New Clothes" syndrome. I completely agree.
Hans Christian Anderson wove a tale about an emperor and two swindler's. They convinced the king that they were weaving him the finest and most expensive attire, but only those who were smart and deserved the good position they were in would be able to see the cloth. Naturally, no one wanted to appear stupid, so the king and his court pretended to see what was obviously not there. At least until the king decided to show his "new clothes" to his subjects. One small child, not playing along with the rest, said, "But he has nothing on!" Now, the crowd roared with laughter because it was obvious to all that the king was naked. But, here is the interesting part to the little tale. The king and his minions, still held their heads high and continued with the ruse.
Even if you pointed out to the Hollywood elite and those who gave this silly movie some awards, that it was a boring movie, they would pretend that there was great merit to it.
It's okay though, I'll play the part of the little boy and I will cry out, "But it was a pointless movie, with a tired plot." Now, all of you (who also wasted your time watching it) can nod your heads in agreement and finally admit that it was a bad movie.
While we are talking about the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome, in addition to Hollywood, this syndrome also permeates the art world. Let me give you just two examples. In abstract expressionism there are two, supposedly undisputed, "masters:" Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.
If what these men painted was art, then I had a drunken grandfather who (with two six-packs of beer consumed and several cans of open paint) could have created Pollock paintings all day long! Just think, he died a pauper and he could have been rich and famous. It is probably the fault of us kids not encouraging him in the right direction. After about the tenth beer every evening we should have just handed him another open gallon of paint. "C'mon grandpa, throw another can against the wall, I want a yacht!"
And if my grandpa wouldn't do it, I know I missed the boat with my daughters. By about the fourth grade in school, all three of them were painting like the master, Pablo Picasso. But, there was a very limited amount of time to cash in on their artwork, and I missed it. Because around sixth grade their motor skills and hand-eye coordination had improved to the point that they could actually draw recognizable pictures.
I am especially writing this blog for those who still have young children and might want to cash in on the abstract money bonanza. If you wonder if your child is "good enough" to paint like a master, I will give you just one example to study. You will see that a bit of the "Master painter" is in all, two through seven year old children. Study a picture (by Picasso) entitled, The Red Armchair: then you will see that there are budding Picasso's in every daycare in America.
In closing this blog I did just think of one more potential source (possibly within your family) to do this type of art.
Find someone who is elderly, the older the better: it would also help if they are colorblind and somewhat palsied. Then, give 'em some paint, brushes, canvas, and sit back and wait for the buyers to beat your door down. I believe that I'll take my money in small bills, thank you very much. (Robin L. Johnson)

(ELEVEN) I read again the speech by Obama's pastor, where he began by saying he was quoting Malcolm X, as he said, "The chickens are coming home to roost." Of course Malcolm was attempting to justify JFK being murdered. Then of course, Mr. Wright quoted what Malcolm had said in trying to justify the cowardly attacks by a group of heathens against our country on 9/11.
I would never be interested in quoting two well known racists like Malcolm or Wright; because of that I will paraphrase: "It looks like Obama's chickens are coming home to roost."
Now, for any liberal who reads this you will have to do a little searching to find the truth. All of the liberal newsmen apparently has a man-crush on Obama and they are trying to bury, or spin, all of his lies. His lies are out there, it is just that you will have to search a little.
I will list just a few of his lies. First, he is not a professor with tenure, although I would be willing to let that one slide as it just sounded like he was trying to make himself sound more accomplished than what he is. But, some of the other things he says are simply bald-faced lies.
As he was trying to get the Kennedy's endorsement he lied and said if it were not for financial aid from the Kennedy's, Obama's father would have never made it to America. LIAR! Obama's father was already living in Hawaii, before the Kennedy's ever gave any money to help with airlifts and bring other Kenyans' into this country.
During the bridge protest in Selma, Obama told another lie about that long ago event and said that is where his father and mother met, and because of that fateful meeting, Obama was born. LIAR! Obama was four-years-old when that civil rights protest took place in Alabama.
Commercials that are running, at least as of yesterday, has Obama saying that he does not take money from big oil. LIAR! His campaign has taken in tens of thousands of dollars from George Kaiser, oil company CEO. Obama has also received donations from Shell, BP, Chevron, Exxon, and all other major oil companies.
I have a few questions for you. How many times do you have to kill someone before you could be called a murderer? How many times do you have to steal before you could be called a thief? How many lies do you have to tell before you could be called a liar? The answer to all three of those questions is one. So, Obama is a LIAR, not once, but several times over. And the list goes on.
He is continually trying to hide just how liberal he actually is. So, when a paper surfaced about his far left views, gun control, infanticide, etc., in other words, everything that is right about this country Obama is against. He then told another lie and said he never saw the paper, it was probably a staffer who filled it out. Then the papers were produced, and again, we know he is a LIAR! Notes, in his own handwriting were all over the paper. I have been carefully watching his speeches and I have finally figured out a way that you can tell when he is lying. Do you want to know how? Ready, it is every time you see his lips move!
But, all of his lies are not the main reason I believe that "his chickens are coming home to roost." After all, no living man told more lies than Bill Clinton and the libs loved him. But it is a different climate today and a completely far left liberal can't get elected to the office of the president without moderates and independent votes also. The main reason is because many of these people do not like the idea of murdering unborn babies on demand.
If you want to know what Obama truly thinks of babies, listen to his speech as he described a baby coming into this world as "punishment." He said that he would not want a young girl who had made a "mistake" to be "punished" by bringing a baby into the world!
Only in Obama's twisted mind could anyone ever believe that an innocent baby being born would be "punishment." Hopefully, what he said about babies will not sit well with any moderate or independent and they will stay home on election day or cast their vote for McCain. If this happens, and I believe that it will, Obama will lose by 7 to 10% nationally. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWELVE) You can file this blog under unfinished business. I will be (briefly) talking about two things that I have recently blogged. The first item I want to discuss has to do with doctors who accidentally kill their patients.
Today it was reported that (for the second year in a row) the number two cause of deaths in this country is accidental poisoning. But, if you read the fine print you will see what is leading this is doctors prescribing medication and that (in turn) is what is killing these patients.
The second item has to do with my favorite person, whom I love to hate: Barak Obama.
There was a great article in yesterday's newspaper by Thomas Sowell. His article is entitled: Barack Obama and the Left: The audacity of rhetoric.
His article began with the following words. "It is painful to watch defenders of Barak Obama tying themselves into knots trying to evade the obvious..." The obvious that he is alluding to is that Obama is an extreme far-left liberal. In Obama's book, Dreams From My Father, he stated, "I chose my friends carefully."
Obama then went on to describe those friends. ""Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk rock performance poets." In addition... as well as the "more politically active black students." He later also visited a former member of the terrorist Weatherman underground. This particular terrorist also endorsed Obama when he ran for state senator.
It is no accident that Obama met up with the "racist" preacher Wright. These are the types of people Obama has sought out his entire life. Incidentally, Thomas Sowell, the writer of the article, happens to be a black man.
Sowell's article is an extraordinary expose of the liberal Obama. It is well worth your time to read it. Have a good day. (Robin L. Johnson)

(THIRTEEN) I had planned to talk about the 40th. anniversary of the murder of MLK. I was going to expound as to why there were multiple riots at many major cities throughout the land, but not in the city he was murdered in. There is a very sound reason why this happened, and it has nothing to do with a black/white issue. It has everything to do with a conservative/liberal issue. One of these days and on one of these blogs, I will prove that to you.
I decided, instead, to talk about what happened at the NATO summit. It seems that Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is taking a lot of flack for giving President Bush a friendly "salute." The outcry is that it makes their country seem somehow subservient to America. I just have to ask, only "somehow subservient?" The United Sates of America, feeds, clothes, protects, and gives aid to more people on planet Earth, than any other ten nations combined. All nations should feel subservient to America!
Not only should America's leaders be saluted, they ought to be given the highest honor every single time they visit any other country. If you do not believe that, then you ought to ask yourself the following two questions.
First: What nation, other than America are people (by the millions) trying to get into? C'mon name one. Are people climbing fences or swimming rivers trying to get into Canada, or Mexico? Have you heard of people trying to get into Cuba? How about Russia or China? Go ahead, name the rest of the 200 + nations and you will find a singular truth. People around the world want to come to America more than any other nation on planet Earth. And they are constantly trying to flee from many of the very countries that, by their words, are always running America down.
Secondly: What is the difference between fences America builds on its borders and fences other nations build on their borders? The answer is the same reason there are fences around federal penitentiaries. America builds fences to keep people out because so many millions wants to come. Other countries builds fences at their borders to keep their own people from leaving, because millions want to go.
If you are fortunate enough to be a citizen of this country you ought to give thanks every single day. Believe me when I tell you that most of the world's population would be ecstatic to trade places with you. (Robin L. Johnson)

(FOURTEEN) There are certain web logs that seem to write themselves; this will be one of those. I suppose it would be fair to say that in my lifetime I have wasted tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on things and activities that had no positive benefit to them. However, every dollar that I ever spent and every hour consumed in Christian education was time and money well spent!
I am going to write about only one incident that happened recently in a government run public school that embodies what the corrupt NEA is all about. A high school student in Wisconsin was given a "zero" grade for a piece of artwork that depicted a cross on it and a Bible reference to John 3:16.
Apparently his art teacher had the students sign a paper for her course that would prohibit four types of artwork: no blood, no violence, no sex, and no religion. First of all, notice what this teacher is doing. She is grouping violence, sex, blood, and religion together. Secondly, because her school is funded by the government, by law, she can not enforce her socialistic ideal of stopping free speech and trampling on the rights of this student and forcing him to waive his First Amendment rights. The student has sued this public school and with a 100% guarantee I can assure you that he will win his case.
His winning his suit, though, is only part of the story. The real story is that this blatant attack on Christianity is rampant in the government run public school system. This same teacher, who failed his artwork piece, gave high marks and praised artwork that depicted demons. The last time I checked, "satanism" also is "religious" by nature. Oh well, I guess it is okay if students draw art of her "little god."
Nearly 30 years ago I flew to Dallas, Texas and met with Dr. Howard. He had started A.C.E. This is church (or home based) schooling and A.C.E. stands for accelerated Christian education. I was fortunate enough to be seated near him during lunch and he told the following story. He said, "Imagine that Moses had been told by the Lord to separate from the godless people of Egypt and to travel into the wilderness and lead a people who were consecrated to God. Now imagine Moses and his leaders packing their children's lunches in brown paper bags and each and every day sending their small children back into Egypt, in order to be trained in the ways of heathens, by heathens." Ridiculous, isn't it?
Why in the world would any person, who names the name of Jesus Christ, allow their children to be indoctrinated in the public school system by people who either know nothing about God, or their stated agenda is to try and overthrow faith in God.
No parent can claim (and be telling the truth) that they are sending their children to a public school in order to get a good education. America ranks near the bottom of all industrialized nations on Earth as far as public education is concerned. Public schools in America are not very concerned with education. Their primary goal is indoctrination. Indoctrination in all things hedonistic. A recent report stated that 50% of young people in public school will not graduate.
Compare that with 99% graduation rate in private education and 94% of those who graduate going on to further their education in college.
Many years ago, while speaking at a small college in West Virginia, I once told a group of students (who were studying to become school teachers) that they were wasting their time going into public education. If they were serious about educating young people, then they should only consider the private sector. That still holds true for any person (today) who is considering going into teaching. Education, at least the three "r's" is not what is happening in the government run public schools of today.
If you need further proof of the corrupt public school debacle, I will give you an indisputable fact. As a professional group, i.e., firemen, policemen, doctors, etc.: what professional group has their own children enrolled in private school in larger numbers than any other group. That's right... public school teachers have their own children enrolled in private schools.
Before finishing this blog today I also want to give another compelling reason why no Christian parent ought to ever allow their children to be taught in a public school. There is a neat story about a young fifth-grade student named Kenton S. from an elementary school in Michigan. It seems he found an error in something at the Smithsonian in Washington. (I almost could not write that last sentence with a straight face. That sentence implies a single error being taught at the Smithsonian. I could write entire tomes full of error being taught at every wing and hallway in that place.) In fact, Mei Sermo is worth the cost of the book for the information in chapter two by itself.
Anyway, without regurgitating the story, the Smithsonian removed the word "era" from a sign that spoke of the "Precambrian era." In their world it was only the wording that was wrong and not their whole silly philosophy. But that is not why I am writing about this story.
It is something the young student said. His reason for dropping a comment card in their box which exposed their error was because of Kenton's teacher. Listen to the young man's own words. "I know Mr. Chapman wouldn't tell all these students bad information."
That kid is probably a great kid and on television his apparent lack of guile jumped off of the screen. But his words ought to give every Christian parent nightmares if they send their kids to public schools. ("I know Mr. Chapman wouldn't tell all these students bad information.") Please do not make your children choose between what their public school teacher tells them, or what you and your pastor teach.
If you are a Christian, do not ever send your children to a public school where their faith and belief-system might be robbed from them. Besides all that, it is very poor education.
To prove that private education works and as for me, a saved person, it was well worth my time and money being invested. All three of my daughters attend church and all seven of my grandchildren are slated to attend private school, or they will be home schooled. The first (three) of our seven grandchildren start school in the fall, and thank God, they will not be educated in the government run public school system! (Robin L. Johnson)

(FIFTEEN) America is still the greatest nation on Earth, despite its many and serious faults. However, I wonder what defining event will be its "jump the shark" moment and the country will begin its inexorable slide into the dustbin of history?
When Roe v Wade became law (22 January 1973) I thought that might be the trigger-event and it would portend the coming revolution in this country where those who feared God, would rise against the ungodly. But it did not happen and 45,000,000 murdered babies later we still stand as a nation and a beacon of light to the rest of the world, but there is a very sad truth in that fact.
Let me try and illustrate what I mean in a way that will make this truth easier to understand. I will do this by asking a few questions that I would like you to answer before moving onto the next one.
As it relates to God, do you know what it means to be a backslider? Do you believe it is possible for people (in particular) and nations (in general) to be backsliders? If you have a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ, was there ever a time that you were closer to Him, then you are now? If you, as a reader of this blog, answered the third question with a yes, then I have one further question for you. What event took place in your life (as it pertains to God) that was your very own "jump the shark" moment and everything went downhill from there?
Understand that something is coming to this nation that will tip the balance the wrong way and this country will begin a slide that it will never recover from. It has happened to all great nations in the past and it will happen here also. Just look at the dispersed Jews and what happened when they returned to their homeland. (Woe unto them that are at ease in Zion). Look at England: we got our beloved Bible translated in the language of the common people because of that nation. Yet, today, they are as ungodly and liberal as any nation on Earth.
As for our country, maybe it was Ruby Ridge, or Waco and the slide has already started. Perhaps it is the standoff going on this evening at Eldorado, Texas: regardless the trigger-event, it is coming. The problem is, there is no nation on planet Earth that will take up the banner of Christianity when the majority in this nation accepts godlessness as their way of life.
The sad truth that I mentioned in the second paragraph has to do with the fact that as backsliding as America has gotten from God, we as a nation are still closer to Him then the rest of the world.
We are only 6% of the world's population, yet 95% of all Christian missionaries in the world either come from here, or are financially supported from here. When it can even be thought as a potentially close contest by American voters that the most liberal senator in America, (Obama) based on his voting record, or Hillary Clinton would have a serious chance at becoming a president of this country, then the signs seem ominous for this nation even lasting much longer.
I would encourage everyone who names the name of Jesus the Christ to pray for His soon return! (Robin L. Johnson)

(SIXTEEN) I will not write a lot on today's blog, I just want to point out the obvious. It sort of ties in though with the idea on yesterday's blog about a man/nation, backsliding.
I do not know enough about Charlton Heston to comment on him as an individual. I can though write about something that most people already know. First, he was not a typical Hollywood actor. There were no rumors about infidelity as he was married to the same woman for 64 years!
Compare that to most of today's Hollywood bed-hoppers who make their living acting.
He also started out as a younger man (and more foolish) in the Democratic party. As he got older (and more wise) he switched party affiliations and became a staunch Republican. But what I want to call attention to is the obvious way Hollywood has slipped even farther into the gutter. If such a thing is possible.
Look at movies that were made about God just a few decades ago: The Robe, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, etc. These were major movies that always showed the might and majesty of God. (Now is when you see the idea of backsliding at work). Look at what Hollywood produces today. Oh God, Bruce Almighty, Michael, Evan Almighty, etc. These movies are either blasphemous, or they make God appear to be a kindly, yet foolish old man who is tired of his work.
In recent times the only serious work that depicted factual events which transpired was the incredible movie, The Passion of the Christ. Look how Hollywood treated it. No one would even try to promote it. In this case, thank God for Mel Gibson.
The lies of the Hollywood elite are so transparent, they had two main objections to the movie: it was too violent. (LOL) If that it not an obvious lie to any person who has seen movies produced by Hollywood, then I have some immediate advice for you. Get your head out of the sand before you suffocate.
The other main objection was that it might hurt a group of people, if the truth was told. In this case it was the Jews, and the truth being told was that it was Jewish leaders of the day who demanded that Jesus be crucified. If it hurts, so be it, that is historical fact.
But, you will see that this objection was also just a lie. What about the movie, Schindler's List?
By only telling the truth and using historical facts, wouldn't this also hurt an entire group of people, in this case it would be the German people. Yet, of course, this movie was lauded by the elite in Hollywood. Backsliders, the whole lot of them! (Robin L. Johnson)

(SEVENTEEN) Today is the third year anniversary of writing Mei Sermo. It is also the 29th. anniversary of the date my dad died. If he were alive today he would be 88 years old: that's hard to imagine; he is still missed.
For the last several days something has been happening in Texas that everyone who names the name of Jesus Christ ought to be incensed over. What I am speaking about is the heavy-handed tactics by local (Texas) law enforcement against the LDS church.
First, let me say, and say clearly that I think a lot of what the Mormon church teaches is incorrect. However, that still does not give our government the right to force hundreds of people to leave the place where they live. Keep in mind the original complaint. It was allegedly brought by a 16 year old girl, and her complaint would not even be anything illegal (almost) anywhere, except Texas.
Several years ago when Clinton and Reno set in motion events that would cause the death of scores of young and innocent boys and girls at Waco, I despised the two of them for the blatantly illegal tactics that they both authorized which caused multiple deaths. Now we have in office a president that I voted for, not once but twice. He needs to bring whatever power he has to this small town in Texas and put a stop to the many rights violations that are taking place. And they are taking place.
Think about this. Imagine your own church where you attend and see how you would feel if this happened to you. Let us say that a 16 year old girl calls 911 and says that she was coerced into marrying an older man. (This is the supposed complaint that authorities in Texas are working on).
So, in answer to the complaint, dozens of law enforcement agencies show up to your church property and without yet even investigating the original complaint, they arbitrarily decide that it may be true and they order every person from six months to 17 years to be taken into protective custody! Naturally, all of the mothers of these children want to go with them, so they are also taken in. Where is due process? Where is innocent until proven guilty.
Normally I am not a big fan of lawyers, in this case I would like to make an exception. I sincerely hope that a small army of rabid, predatory, ambulance chasing, lawyers descend on that Texas town and they sue that particular county into bankruptcy.
Maybe if Obama gets elected we will become that socialist nation that many Democrats have been longing for. But, at least as of this day, we are still a Capitalistic and free society and neither our or any other government should have the right to do what they are doing in Texas. (Robin L. Johnson)

(EIGHTEEN) I thought I would write about something very sad. This story is sad on multiple levels. Of course, there is the temporary sadness of what is transpiring in this lifetime, but, this story also has eternal significance which makes it tragic also.
Near New Delhi, there is the village of Saini, Sanpura and a young child was born to parents who have only been married a short time and this is their first baby. Their firstborn child was born with a horrific birth defect. This type of defect is extremely rare and it is called, craniofacial duplication. In layman's terms, this poor little child has two faces.
You would have to agree that such a defect would make it virtually impossible for the child to live anything even close to what we would call a normal life. So, that in itself is sad. But to compound the problem is what many of the people in that area are doing about this. Many believe that she is a reincarnation of a false goddess, (Durga) and they are coming to this particular village to worship her.
So, the tragedy is not just a temporary thing, perhaps normal lifetime, but it will be compounded throughout eternity for all of the lost people who continue in the Hindu religion, and will not forsake their false gods and accept the redemptive work of Jesus the Christ.
My favorite preacher, Dr. Jack Hyles, used to say, "The world is a vale of tears." As a younger man, I'm not sure that I fully accepted or believed that. I mean, I could still find humor, and beautiful things all about me. However, as I grow older I am beginning to understand better what he used to say. And it is not just because of the millions of sad stories like the little girl in India.
More and more I understand that we (the human race) are not yet in the "land of the living." We, you and I, are in the "land of the dying." One day, and for those who are born again, we will leave this land of the dead, and dying, and we will enter into the place of "no mores." No more tears, heartache, pain, dying, sin, hate, darkness, etc. etc. etc. (And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes).
You ought to pray for Lali, the little baby in India, and for those people who are coming to worship her, to forsake their false gods and accept the Son of God: Jesus! (Robin L. Johnson)

(NINETEEN) I would like to begin today's blog with a Bible verse. Romans 1:20: "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."
I am going to talk about only one of the invisible things that God made when He created all things.
Before I explain why I think one of these invisible things (recently) worked to help rid the world of a very bad person, I want to see if the readers of this blog view God in the same way the Holy Bible teaches. Do you really believe that God is all-powerful? (I do). If you agree with me, then only one conclusion can be drawn from such a belief. The single conclusion is that nothing in all of the universe can happen without God, either causing, or allowing it to happen.
In other words, a great blessing happens to a man, family, nation, or the world... and God either caused it, or allowed it. Contrarily, a perceived tragedy happens to a man, family, nation, or the world... and God either caused it, or allowed it. Are we on the same page so far? An all-powerful God either causes or allows every event in the universe to transpire. (If the above is not true, then He would not be all-powerful.)
As I see events happening, I try to weigh them against history, and I try to figure if what happened was because of the divine will of God, or if what happened was only His permissive will: i.e. cause or allow. Sometimes, figuring events out, at least immediately after they happen, is harder than you might at first imagine. I will give just one illustration to try and show this.
When Clinton and Reno used military (type) force to steal the little Gonzales boy from his family in Florida, in order to return the child to a Communist dictator, I thought that surely this was God's permissive will in action. However, a few years later, I could see that it was more probably His divine will that was enacted in Florida on that day.
That single event incensed Cuban voters in Florida, and the same group that voted for the Democratic party (in overwhelming numbers) in the previous election: would vote in overwhelming numbers against the Democratic party in the next election, and because of that, Al Gore was narrowly defeated in the swing-state of Florida that year. Just think, if the little Gonzales boy had been left to peacefully sleep in his bed, President Bush would not have won Florida... and we would have had a Gore presidency. Wait a minute... because of that last thought ( possible Gore presidency) I think I'm going to have to go and throw up... back in a minute.
That's better, the bile has settled back into my stomach and I will now write about one of the invisible things. A hepatitis virus (approximately 50 nm) is invisible, unless it is viewed through a very powerful device, such as an atomic force microscope. A virus like this is so small that they are measured in (nm) nanometers, which is one-billionth of a meter. To give you some perspective on the size of a hepatitis virus I would like you to imagine the width of a single human hair. Now imagine something so small that it would take approximately 2,000 of them to span that single hair. Now I hope you can fully appreciate how very small that is.
Now imagine this very tiny thing killing a horrible excuse for a man, Abu Obeida al-Masri. Guess what, you do not have to imagine, apparently, that is what took his lousy life from him.
I feel no sympathy for such a man, he was directly responsible for the death of many innocent people. In addition to the killings that took place in London a few years ago, he was also the one who planned the failed attempt to blow ten planes up over major American cities. Many other atrocities which took place also had his fingerprints all over them. At least for now, I am going to catalog his death under the divine will of God.
Before finishing this blog, I would like you to imagine one more thing. Imagine this terrorist's surprise upon closing his eyes in death and immediately being in the presence of... an angry God, ready to send him to a devil's Hell. No virgins awaited this evil son of Belial, only an angry God exacting His vengeance! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY) Today's blog will be a "good news, bad news" pulse on America. (This will be similar to the good news, bad news theme of blog number six). The old girl is ill, and has been since shortly after WWII. And she became ill for the very same reason that King Solomon began his backsliding against God. The women he had in his life (1,000 +) held divergent views as it related to their faith. According to the Bible, Solomon's close association and love he had for some of them led to his own faith in God suffering. This is exactly what happened as our soldiers brought record numbers of girls (home to America) to be their wives from lands where they had previously worshiped pagan gods.
Some of the girls, thankfully, got saved and began to worship Jesus the Christ. The problem though, the majority did not and this led to many of the soldiers overthrowing their own faith for the pagan gods of their wives. What happened then was what is called the domino effect: little by little, then with ever growing speed you have beliefs beginning to topple at an alarming rate. And it all started because men did not heed the clear call of God to "separate from the ways of the heathen."
If you doubt this, look at many of the influential news-makers in Hollywood and major corporations and see how many of them promote "far Eastern" religions. Some of these committed leftists make continual trips to far away lands only to adopt children from cultures that are ungodly. That in itself would not be bad, if you are trying to rescue these children from terrible circumstances. However, every time I hear any of these people bringing children like this home, I alway hear them say that they will raise these children with the beliefs of their homeland. In other words, raise them to be continually pagan.
I have two thoughts about that. First, what profit is it to the child to save them from a terrible physical life in order to give them a much better life, only to have their souls damned by allowing them to be raised believing in false gods? The Bible states it best. "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Bill Gates, Pitt, Madonna, Jolie, etc. etc. etc., are you listening?
My second thought on this would be, what is wrong with the millions of children in our own country who needs adopting? It seems that you can't wait to board a plane and go to "rescue" some child from a third world country and pass over all of the children here who need help. Wait, I know the answer, and of course so does the rest of the country. There is no free publicity in it if you only help an American child.
Now to the main point of today's blog. America may well be experiencing its death throes: in fact, if Obama is elected, and sworn in, I believe those people who are alive at that point will be witness to the beginning of the end as America being an autonomous, and powerful nation in world affairs.
My hope against such a deplorable outcome is found in many small things. One of which, I will now write about. A recent poll was conducted to determine the top ten (favorite) books of all time. Many of the top ten books on this list were written by people of dubious character and they certainly have (or had) their own agenda in writing their books. However, the number one favorite book of all time had 40 different authors and every one were men with sterling character! And all of these authors who were used to write this one book, had only one agenda. They all wanted to point fallen man to the only Being in all of the universe who could grant them eternal life; Jesus the Christ, the Son of God!
That's right, there is still hope for America, as the majority of American's still recognize as their favorite book, the Holy Bible! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-ONE) All day long I had planned to write about Obama's latest remarks where he was caught in an unguarded moment and showed his true elitist attitude, however, I have decided to write about something else tonight; truth be told, I'm more than a little sick of him anyway.
Today in our area we have a yearly tradition happening: Thunder over Louisville. Even though in the past I have gone to some of the shows and enjoyed them, tonight I will stay home with my dogs close by and enjoy a movie. Virgil, especially, becomes frightened as the loud fast planes fly close over the top of our house. From my front door step, and in my car I could drive to a prime viewing location along the Ohio river in three to four minutes.
Other than wanting to stay home with my dogs the other reason I don't care to go is the crowds of the last several years are above 500,000 people and although it is quick and easy to get to the river, it is a very long trip back trying to fight the crowds. So, tonight I stay home and hope everyone else has a great time.
At least, for me, the best thing about the day long event is the air show, which displays some of the mighty air arsenal America can send against its enemies. Whenever I see such displays of might I am reminded of the saying by Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick..." Whenever I see only a tiny fraction of the firepower that this country is capable of unleashing against an enemy, I realize once again that America certainly "carries an extremely large stick." (TWENTY-TWO) Every single day there is so much news happening that is interesting to me that it is difficult for me to choose what to write about, since I am trying to stick to only a single topic daily. Today I was most interested in Carter (again) showing his bias against the Jewish nation and I thought I would like to expound on this "wolf in sheep's clothing." And, Lord willing, one day I will do that, but not tonight. This blog will be about one of my pet peeves: a little history is in order.
I have been in sales for many years of my life. I suppose I am okay at it because sales has been my main source of income for most of my adult life and we have always gotten by. I wanted to tell you that so whenever I explain my pet peeve you will not imagine that it shows through to my many customers. If it did, I am sure that they would not purchase from me and that has never happened. Example, today, just one special order for a single customer was above $10,000.00 (dollars).
Here is my peeve. Although I write this to people of all ages, I am especially wanting to talk to those who do not have many years left. I am a realist, and in addition I believe the Bible and I think that we are in the end time. Because of that I know that a day is coming when the young man has no more days than the aged, and the aged has no fewer days than the very young: however, I am only writing this trying to make a point about daily living and assuming that the aged has less years to live than the very young.
Why do you care that a shade of paint on your wall needs to exactly match a couch cushion in your living room? Or all other inane questions and sentiments that are daily made by dozens of customers I regularly sell to.
Sometimes I feel like grabbing a couple by their shoulders and force them to look at me while I ask a series of questions. Do you really believe that one day you are going to die, and at your age, sooner than later? If you were told that this was your last day on Earth, would you be very concerned with the differences between Berber and frieze carpet? Today is Sunday, don't you have a church you could be going to? Life is short, don't you all have grandchildren who might enjoy a visit? If you knew you would die in three hours... try and think of 100 places you would rather be than here? If in fact you just thought of 100 other places, what are you doing here?
There are probably fifty more questions I would like to ask people along those same lines. I am a Capitalist and all for commerce and I am not against selling or buying. Although it has always seemed exceedingly stupid to me that people will invest huge portions of their time, energy, and money in the pursuit of acquiring... things!
I will tell you two short stories to better illustrate my point and then I will be done. The first has to do with the mother of the former governor of Texas. (Richards) She told of how her mother traveled the world collecting expensive and rare "treasures" and their mansion was filled with them. She told of how her mother would (daily) look at her treasures and get great pleasure from having them... until the day her doctor told her that she only had a short time to live. She said from that day until she died, all of those things she had purchased held no interest for her. She didn't look at them or talk about them. Instead, in her last few months of life she surrounded herself with friends and family. She didn't learn until too late, but things are just that, things.
Trust me, it really does not matter if your curtains, couch, and carpet do not all have the exact shade as the color of paint on your walls.
The other story also helps to put in perspective what is really important in this life. This family was the antithesis of the Richards as far as money was concerned, they were almost always poor. But let's see if you think the grandmother (in this story) had the right idea.
The adult children wanted to do something nice for their aged mother so they pooled their money and bought her a piece of carpet for her living room to replace her thread-bare rug. Everyone gathered together after the carpet was installed and the mother said all of the right things and was appreciative for the thoughtful gesture of her children.
Soda pop and cookies were passed around and they had a small party. All of a sudden one of the little grandchildren dropped his entire glass of red pop in the middle of the brand new carpet. All eyes turned to the elderly women because the only new thing she had been given in the last 20 years was now ruined. The little boy believing himself to be in trouble, burst into tears. The grandmother immediately went to him and hugging him tightly to her, said, "It's okay honey, now don't you cry, we have a lot more red pop."
The moral to today's blog is this: if you ever read about a salesman being arrested for grabbing two elderly people by their shoulders and trying to talk some sense into them, go easy with your thoughts about that guy... it will probably be me. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-THREE) I will continue today's blog with another complaint that I have. This one, though, is more than only being peeved about a perceived problem. My complaint today is legitimate and it is also shared (virtually) with every other American. Tomorrow, for many people is the most dreaded day on the calendar: April 15th! (tax time) What should be only another nice spring day, is somehow turned into something much worse because of the burden American politicians have placed upon the working public.
I have a little history lesson for any person who cares to take the challenge. Search the Internet, or your library shelf, and again read about the "Boston Tea Party." The part that I want to call to your attention is the incredibly small tax liability these people had: yet, they still felt over-burdened with the weight of their taxes. I shudder to think what those patriots would be dumping into the sea if they were to ever be told they had to carry even 10% of what many Americans are forced to pay in this day.
I believe it would be the politicians themselves who would be dumped into the ocean... far from land... with no life-jackets... no radios, or means of asking for help... each and everyone (before being dropped into the ocean) having been punished with a sturdy cat-o'-nine-tails... finally, bleeding and sore... they would be forced to swim in shark infested waters!
Wow, I feel better already just imagining the above scenario. If you owe taxes, then you and I will sometime (during the day) tomorrow drop an envelope in the mail addressed to your state and or federal government. If you are also like me you will repeat the famous (infamous?) words of Mercutio, "A plague o' both your houses." It is important to whisper this three times quickly and maybe it will come true. (LOL) Although I write the above tongue-in-cheek, that saying takes on added meaning if the two houses you are wishing the pox upon are the senate and house of representatives. By the way, just who exactly are they "representing?" It is most certainly not me.
If any elected person ever wants to be serious and completely fair as it relates to taxes, then our present tax system must be completely scrapped and a flat rate tax would be applied to all goods that are purchased! (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-FOUR) It is time to talk about my favorite politician that I love to hate, Barak Obama. I will give him this... he is very smooth. Watch him speak and you will be reminded of the wares of a snake-oil salesman. The problem for Obama is what he is attempting to sell is himself, hence my alluding to snake-oil.
I want to clear something up before talking about Obama's latest faux-pas. The loathing I feel toward both people the Democrats are running for president has nothing to do with misogyny or racism. To prove that, I would vote for the ticket of Clarence Thomas and Barbara Bush, were they ever to decide to run for the office of President of the United States. Or, I could kill two birds with one stone by casting a vote for Condoleezza Rice, (a woman and black) if, she would ever take a strong stand against abortion. At present her views on infanticide, in my humble opinion, are disingenuous.
Keep in mind that you can not personally be against something while taking the position that it would be okay for others to do it. If you are for something, then you are for it for everyone: if you are against something, then you are against it for everyone.
While speaking in the home of the ultra-liberal Getty's, Obama, believing himself to be only in the company of like-minded elitists, once again let his guard down and said exactly what he believes!
Of course his stated belief flies in the face of two bedrock tenets of (both) our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Obama is against the Second Amendment which guarantees the rights of individuals to own firearms. It is idiotic to declare the Second Amendment any other way than for an individual's rights. Keep in mind that the First, Fourth, and Ninth Amendments (just like the Second) are to a "right of the people," not states or National Guard.
Obama is a faker when it comes to his own "personal faith" in God. Again, this is a concept foreign to the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson wrote, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness..."
There is a very important reason why I wanted to write about something from both of those historical documents before exposing Obama's attempted cover-up from what he originally said while speaking in a private residence in San Francisco.
Those two documents are center to our nation's very existence and belief in God and the rights of individuals to bear guns were commonly understood by all of our early leaders. Be sure to keep that thought in mind as you read Obama's statement. Obama is telling this (mostly) liberal crowd about what happens to people within a community as all around them jobs are being lost. He said, "And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain."
Never mind the fact that faith in God and gun ownership predates our country, to the elitist Obama, people only "cling to guns or God" because they are "bitter" toward government. What an idiot this man is. Not only (with those remarks) did he malign 97% of all American's who purport to have a belief in God, he also ascribed all those who think American jobs are being lost to foreign invaders as xenophobes. Will someone besides myself please call him an idiot, it's early and I'm tired.
Now, tell me again that Obama is a "man of faith," and a follower of the Lord Jesus. It appears to me that his only faith is in the religion of Humanism. That is, as long as government does not make you "bitter" and cause you to go scurrying after some old religion.
Well, I have news for Obama, long before I ever saw his face or heard his name, I had faith in God and I practiced my right to bear and carry a firearm! And I did this even during the time when the government was sailing along quite smoothly under Ronald Reagan, and I wasn't even "bitter," imagine that.
As I write this blog a Bible lays on my desk (inches from my fingertips) and a loaded 357 Magnum Caliber Sturm. Ruger is just two steps away from my desk. With the Word of God for guidance and my 357 in hand, I am always ready to repel all invaders... foreign and domestic!
In finishing today's blog I want to show you the duplicitous way that Obama is trying to get people away from what he originally said. The sad truth, for many Americans who only get their news from liberal agencies ( see number THREE blog) it might work. Obama and his willing co-conspirators in liberal news have begun referring to the error in his "bitter speech" and the fact that he might have misspoke. However, he never talks about his statement about "guns or religion." He only implies that he should not have said that people in small town America were, "bitter," because of job loss. Now you have liberal news only playing this part of his speech and his apology about using the word "bitter" and it sounds like a non-story.
So, if some Americans (who only get news from ABC, CNN, etc.) are only now hearing about this, they do not know of Obama's maligning people's faith in God, their Second Amendment right, and stating that small town America is comprised of (mostly) people who are xenophobic.
My prayer is the man keeps making impromptu speeches that are not written and carefully parsed by his professional speech writers. For, honestly, if the majority of Americans knew what was in his heart, he would not get enough nationwide votes to make him the dog-catcher in Clark County, Indiana. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-FIVE) The Supreme Court, as expected, upheld state's rights to execute convicted murderer's by lethal injection. Any person with any acumen at all, as it pertains to legal matters, knew the court would rule this way. A sane person might ask, Why then did liberals push the case all of the way to the Supreme Court, knowing they would fail? Answer: to waste time, money, and court resources. If you think I have libs pegged wrong, listen to Pat Delahanty (just across the river from where I live) head of--Coalition to Abolish Death Penalty: "We never expected it to do more than maybe slow down executions in Kentucky or elsewhere." This was a direct quote immediately after the Supreme Court made their 7-2 ruling.
And of course, within two hours of the ruling the governor of Virginia lifted the state's moratorium on executing killers and the state can proceed with setting future dates for murderers to be put to death. Bravo for the governor of that state: Tim Kaine. Perhaps he is remembering the mass killings at Virginia Tech and the need for the state to put to death those who kill indiscriminately.
Make no mistake about it, these killers, who are executed in our prison system, are always put to death in a more gentle way than they killed their victims.
I bet without ever reading the story online you could name the two liberals on our nation's highest court that were the dissenters. Of course it was Ginsburg, a card carrying member of the wicked ACLU, and Souter.
In the book, MEI Sermo I write quite a bit about the two intertwined subjects of infanticide (abortion) and capital punishment. I will not rehash all of that on this blog, however, I will make one salient point and ask each of you to honestly consider what I say.
As a saved (born again) person I am against infanticide and I am for convicted killers being executed. Since all unborn babies are innocent of any wrongdoing, I will say it another way: "I am for the innocent being given life and I am for the guilty (murderers) being executed." That is my position as a saved person. If you are a liberal, or you know a liberal, ask them if what follows is their position.
The platform for the Democrat party (and all liberals) is: They are for infanticide (abortion) and they are against capital punishment. Let me say it another way: Even though all unborn babies are innocent of any wrongdoing, they want to be able to kill innocent babies on demand (which is any reason whatsoever) and even if a man (or woman) would be a mass murderer and guilty of many people dying, liberals want to give these people life. (no death penalty)
Let me now say it very succinctly.
Conservative Republican: Give life to the innocent, and give death to the guilty!
Liberal Democrat : Give death to the innocent, and give life to the guilty!
Imagine for just a moment that you believe in God, and because of that belief in Him you know that one day you will stand before Him and give an account of your life. Which of the two views that have been expressed would you feel comfortable defending before God? Either you believe it is okay to quite literally dismember (vacuum aspiration) innocent unborn babies, but you must not hurt ruthless killers, or, you would give your life to protect an innocent child, but you do not have an qualms about seeing killers killed.
As a conservative voter, I vote for only those people who are against infanticide and who are for the death penalty.
If you are a liberal and vote for Democrats, you will be voting for a party that is for killing innocent babies, yet they will not put to death convicted killers.
Many people stay in the Democrat party because they somehow believe it is the party of JFK. It's not even close. If he were alive today he would have abandoned that party. He would not be for killing millions and millions of unborn children. If you are a Democrat and you have any heart left, you ought to drop all affiliation with it and vote for men and women who will protect the most helpless and vulnerable in our society. (TWENTY-SIX) I thought I would write a brief blog this morning and make two points about the leader of the catholic church visiting our country. Though I believe many of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church are wrong, I am happy for all of the positive press that this man brings to the Lord Jesus. Visits like this are beneficial in order to help curb the evil influence the ACLU and other socialistic groups like them have on our country.
Other than the good press he brings for the Lord, the only other point I want to make is the fact that yesterday the pope celebrated his 81st. birthday!
The reason I wanted to mention that is the foolish remarks the very liberal Murtha made about John McCain being too old for president because he is 71. If you want to get rid of old doddering relics in politics, I can tell you three people you might begin with: John Murtha, Teddy Kennedy, and Robert Byrd.
The reason I wanted to mention the age of the pope (ten years older than McCain) is I have not heard any liberal politician say that he is too old to do his job. They wouldn't dare! The libs are cowards, every one of them.
President Reagan (most influential president since Lincoln) brought about the fall of the Soviet Union and during that time he was older than John McCain is now. Senator McCain ought to go on the offensive and use his age as a positive; experience, wisdom, etcetera. It is only in our own country that the aged are set aside, or sent to nursing homes in order to be forgotten. Many other cultures revere their aged because of the many years of learning and life experiences they have had.
Although I will not cast a vote in this election, unless John McCain takes a strong stand against experimenting on human embryos: then I will vote for him. Otherwise, for the first time in my adult life, I will not go to my local precinct to cast my vote. I refuse to be found guilty before God for helping to kill "totally innocent" human life by voting into office a person who will work to continue America's greatest single sin: infanticide! (Robin L. (TWENTY-SEVEN) Today I will write about three events, one will be new and one I first mentioned on April 8 which was blog number seventeen. The last one I have spoken about several times.
We had a mild earthquake (5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale) in our area this morning and I slept through it, blissfully unaware of the ground shaking. This type of quake is considered moderate and we have approximately 800 of these per year. I hope someone wakes me if I happen to be asleep while we are experiencing an earthquake that would register a ten on the Richter scale. (LOL)
One of these days I would like to use the Bible and an old cancer brochure to teach a central truth about the Second Coming of Christ; especially as it relates to earthquakes and other naturally occurring phenomena. But, in order to make a sound argument it takes several pages of writing. Perhaps one of these days I will put together something on this blog and create a link to it: I believe, if you like prophetic teaching from the Bible, you would find it interesting. However, for now, since no one was apparently hurt (and damage to property was slight) from today's shaking, I would like to wish everyone in our region of the country a happy earthquake day.
Another thing I want to mention is the continued onslaught by local law enforcement against the LDS church in Texas. Now it is coming out that the original 911 call which prompted the local zealots in Texas to act with Gestapo like tactics against this church, was a prank call!
As I said in my earlier blog when the story first broke on the wire services, I hope a lot of people in that area (who moved against this church) are sued into personal bankruptcy, and these mothers get their children back. We have had Waco, Ruby Ridge, Elian Gonzales (Miami), to name only three cases where our government overstepped their authority and every case resulted in tragedy. My prayer is that this one turns out better for the members of that church and their families.
Personally I am not a friend to the LDS church and I do not agree with many of their teachings. However, I am certainly no friend to jack-booted thugs who abuse their governmental authority and tread on the rights of Americans. We are supposed to have due process in this country and the presumption of innocence. The government (in this case) had no right to assume that every child on the church property was in danger based on one unsubstantiated telephone call. And because of that prank call, they separated more than 400 children from their mothers. In my humble opinion, someone ought to organize a million man/woman march against such SS tactics being used in this small Texas town.
Do you want to hear the most hilarious part about this entire situation. Listen to the supposed moral outrage in the voice of the reporters as they report that they actually have some evidence that a couple of the girls might have given birth to a child at fifteen years of age! This is almost too funny for me to sit upright and continue typing. I want to hold my sides and howl with laughter. Go to the vast majority of every single public school in America today and you will find (by the multiplied thousands) girls fifteen and younger who are pregnant! In fact, teenage pregnancy is such that many public schools have daycare providers on school property in order that students can have a place to leave their babies while their teenage mothers attend class. Total and complete hypocrisy is what we see on display today in Texas, as well as by every single reporter I have seen talking about the case.
Do you want to know what is even more sad than the miscarriage of justice in Texas today. If the young girls at the LDS church had sought government aid in order to have their unborn babies murdered, instead of giving them life, then this would have been a non-story.
The last thing I want to mention has to do with the pope and preacher Wright. Before I make that comment I want to explain why I would never attach a grand sounding title to any leader of any church on Earth, such as father, holy, or reverend, and etcetera. We are told (in Scripture) that we have a Father which is God. And the word reverend is found only one time in the entire Bible, and it is a name that is given to God. No man should take a name that was attributed to God and use it as his own! Psalm 111:9: "He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name." Again, that is the only time the word is found in the Bible; it is another name for God!
What I just wrote is why you do not find true Bible believing preachers assigning the word, "reverend" to their title. They are either, pastor, preacher, brother, etc. Some Bible believing preachers, if they have doctorates will use that as a title: Dr. Hyles, etc.
Finally I would like to make mention of a statement that the pope made about America and contrast that with what preacher Wright said about his own country. Yesterday afternoon, on the White House lawn the last three words the pope said was, God bless America. Now contrast that with what the race-baiting preacher Wright said about America as he asked the good Lord to damn America. Now of course we know that this, "Whitey's keepin' me down" preacher is moving into a multi-million dollar home in an area that is 98% white! Well, I guess "whitey" didn't keep him down after all, and now he can have backyard barbecues with his all white neighbors! I have to be honest with you, I'm going to be laughing about this one all day long. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-EIGHT) I have a question for you. If I, as a White man, attend a church where our central teachings were proclaimed by the statement that follows, would I be a racist person?
"We are a congregation which is unashamedly White and unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the White religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting, and permanent. We are an American people, and remain true to our native land. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a White worship service and ministries which address the White community."
Did you answer yes?

Keep in mind that it is either yes or no for both of the above examples. Unless you are an idiot, it cannot be yes for one and no to the other. For my money, the answer is yes to either example. The point that I want to make is the above paragraph is verbatim from Obama's church web page. Therefore, only one logical conclusion can be drawn. Obama is a member (in good standing) and has regularly attended (for more than 20 years) a church that is unapologetically racist.
Their pastor's entire message is predicated for the black, to the black, with the black, about the black, of the black...black...black...black...black...black. And honestly, I do not particularly care. After all, there are at present and have been men from the past (of all races) who are avowed racists. Just look at Farrakhan, Malcolm X, David Duke, Robert Byrd: to only list four names of well-known racists.
My only point for Obama and his minions is this: truly be brave and unapologetic (to use a word from your own church's web page) and admit what and who you are; i.e., racist and haters of America.
If anyone doubts the "hater of America" part, try asking Obama to pledge allegiance to the American flag, or simply wear a flag lapel pin, or at the very least, refer to "America," (the place where you live) on your church's web page: instead of twice mentioning the Dark Continent. Or, you could do all of us a big favor: immediately move back to the land you claim to love; Africa. You could ask your pastor to sell his multi-million dollar home (in the gated all-white community) and use the proceeds to purchase airline tickets for everyone in your church who feels the same way.
But, if he refuses to do this, I have another idea. I will start a grass-roots effort to collect enough money for you and everyone else who cares to follow you to Africa. Just let me know and I would be more than willing to help. In fact, in order to show my earnestness about this, I pledge $1.00 to get the ball rolling. Anyone care to join me?
I think though that you would find a singular truth were you ever to move to Africa. And I will give you that truth from a black comedian: Redd Foxx. He said that one time a white person hollered at him and told him to go back to Africa. He thought about it for a minute and then said, "Now, wouldn't I look like a fool standing in the middle of the jungle wearing a $750.00 mohair suit."
Now, as a white person, I am inviting Obama, Wright, Farrakhan, and all like-minded blacks to go back to Africa. And it is not because I dislike black people. I have both friends and relatives who are black. I am inviting the above group to go back to Africa because I don't like racists and those who hate America. (Robin L. Johnson)

(TWENTY-NINE) In order to introduce the subject matter for today's blog I have decided to give a little Bible lesson and it will require a small amount of effort on your part. There is a prophet in the Bible that God had decided to show many of the evils which were continually being done against the Lord, and these evils were being committed by men who were supposed to be serving God. After each terrible vision and occurrence of seeing people sin, the Lord said to His prophet something similar to, "...turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these."
I imagine this particular prophet thought that the last sin he had just seen was the worst, and then the Lord would give him another vision of even greater sins being committed. Be the first to email me with the name of the prophet I am speaking about and at least one of the evil things he witnessed God's people doing... and you win... absolutely nothing. Other than the satisfaction of knowing the Bible well enough to find this particular story. Good for you!
Based upon the above story in the Bible, I would like to call your attention to only three of the many evil groups in our country today. The United Nations, in New York city, are at present and have always been a Communist apologist and left-leaning organization that, as a country, we would be better off if it ceased to exist.
But, "... turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these." The ACLU is an organization that will fight for every thing that is abhorrent within the United States of America, and it will fight against everything which is wholesome and good in our country. (I recently read of a tragic accident where a bus carrying 30 lawyers from the ACLU plunged over a thousand foot cliff and burst into flames upon impact: there were no survivors. The tragedy: it was a 60 passenger bus and only half-full.)
But, ..."turn ye yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these." The NEA, as a group, is one of the more evil influences within our country today. First, of course, they do not educate very well. They are good at indoctrination and trying to rob innocent young people of their faith in God, but they are terrible educators. By many billions of dollars spent every year in this country on public education (per child) we far outspend every other nation on Earth. Yet, we are always near the bottom of all other industrialized nations as it relates to demonstrable testing. The NEA is reprehensible as a teaching group, but what follows is what they excel at. John Freshwater, a teacher in Mount Vernon, Ohio has been ordered to remove his personal Bible from his desk: he refused, good for him.
John, take this fight all of the way to the Supreme Court. For the first time in many decades we have men on the court who understand the framers of our Constitution never intended for the First Amendment to be used in the way that many liberals are trying to use it today. Separation of church and state as is being extolled by the NEA and other far left organizations is clearly wrong, and I will prove that to you. But first, I want to make a point about how confusion on any written subject matter can be easily cleared up by just asking the author.
Suppose for a moment that a paragraph I wrote in a book was not very clear or easily understood by the person who was reading it. (I am sure that nothing like that could ever really happen, but bear with me as I am trying to make a point.) Wouldn't it make sense to just ask me what I meant in whatever paragraph you were having trouble understanding? If I am the author of the material I could more fully explain what I was trying to say. With that in mind I now want to prove the NEA, ACLU, and other liberal groups are dead wrong in their understanding of the First Amendment.
I am going to give you just six quotes from men and groups who helped to write, and lived during the time our Constitution and Declaration of Independence was born. "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation, to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." The man who said that was John Jay, he co-authored the Federalist Papers and he was the First Chief-Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
"Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is Divine. ...far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends and mutual assistants. Indeed, these two sciences run into each other." James Wilson wrote the above quote and he was signer of both our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
"One of the beautiful boasts of our municipal jurisprudence is that Christianity is a part of the Common Law... There never has been a period in which the Common Law did not recognize Christianity as lying at its foundation... I verily believe Christianity necessary to the support of civil society." The man who wrote that has been called, "The father of American Jurisprudence." Joseph Story was a United States Supreme Court Justice.
In 1854 we had a sane and competent Congress, unlike today. March 27, 1854: Congress weighed in with the following proclamation; "At the time of the adoption of the Constitution and the amendments, the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged... In this age there can be no substitute for Christianity... That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants."
I want you to carefully read an unanimous ruling by our Supreme Court in 1892. "There is no dissidence in these (legal) declarations... These are not individual sayings, declarations of private persons: they are organic (legal, governmental) utterances; they speak the voice of the entire people... These, and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation."
Finally, for men like John, and others who carry their Bible to public school. Listen to what the early Supreme Court, the men who knew and helped to author the document had to say. Vidal v. Girard-- another unanimous decision rendered by the High Court, "Why may not the Bible, and especially the New Testament, without note or comment, be read and taught as a divine revelation in (schools) -- its general precepts expounded, its evidences explained and its glorious principles of morality inculcated? ...Where can the purest principles of morality be learned so clearly or so perfectly as from the New Testament?"
In Mei Sermo I have many more quotes than the few I have listed above. But, all of them are saying the same thing. America, and all of its private and public schools were to be places where Christ and the teachings of the Holy Bible were to be of paramount importance. (THIRTY) After today's blog I will send this to the archives under Hope for America and begin another set of 30 days with a new title.
I was going to write about a former president ("Idiot in Chief") Jimmy Carter and his latest antics in the Middle East. He is like the not so closeted (racist) Wright, except Carter's particular racism is commonly referred to as anti-Semitism. At least though it finally appears as if very few people in the world are taking him seriously anymore. He has become that old embarrassing relative, who at family reunions people try their best to ignore.
Instead of Carter, I thought I would write about something really important, Virgil ...the Amazing "Earthquake Dog!" He is either better than a seismometer, or he was cold. I'm not sure.
Last week, one day before we had the earthquake in a neighboring state my wife said she was going to call me at work because she was concerned with the way that Virgil was acting. He had pressed tightly against her legs and he began shivering like a person with ague. She said that for several minutes she could not calm him down. Within 12 hours of him doing that we had an earthquake.
A few minutes ago as I sat down to type this blog about Carter, Virgil came in and sat down beside my chair and began shivering and trembling. I got up and walked him into the other room and began to pet and console him until he calmed down. As of this last sentence being typed, he appears perfectly normal and just a few feet from me he is happily munching on his breakfast food.
So, if we have another earthquake shortly, Virgil is more amazing than even I think he is: if such a thing is possible. If we do not, then my "boy" was evidently a little cold this morning.
Virgil, not unlike countless other animals are more attuned to weather events than humans are. For example, before we ever see the first flash of lightning or hear the deep rumble of thunder, we know a storm is on its way because Virgil will get down on the floor and he refuses to climb on any furniture, even when we are calling to him. For whatever reason, he seems to "feel safer" if he stays close to the floor.
So, because of Virgil, my best advice for you today is to practice what the Jehovah's Witness members do in order to stay safe during an earthquake. Question: Why are JW's always the safest people on Earth during an earthquake? Answer: It is because they are always standing in someone's doorway! (Robin L. Johnson)
