BITTERSWEET
Sunday March 8, 2020 10:55 pmSaturday March 8, 2014 on that day six years ago (in the early afternoon) I was driving through the drive thru at McDonald's in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I was ordering cheeseburgers (plain) for our three dogs: Stella, Diesel, and Sonny.
I had lost Virgil eleven months before that date. Why, why do I remember so very clearly something ordinary like that? Though I was still missing Virgil, even as I do to this day... the reason that day and those memories are as clear to me as I type this as they were that day has absolutely zero to do with my dogs. The answer to why I remember is found in the title of this blog.
I can only say, as the song says, "... just one thing makes me forget..."
My hope is all who reads this has a blessed evening and enjoys precious sleep.
