INVADED!!!!!!!
Tuesday April 29, 2014 1:47 pm
I'm back home and everything went well.
However, for routine surgery they do not instill a lot of confidence
in the procedure beforehand. At one point I was asked, “...just in
case, do you have a religious preference?” 'Just in case of what,' I
wanted to ask? Then, another girl right before they took me back
hesitated and then said, “Sorry, but we have to ask, do you have a living-will or have you given power-of-attorney to anyone?” I mean,
C'MON!!! Why not just say that they often times lose people on the table instead
of beating around the bush! Lol
On a good note I was put to sleep
listening to a regular hard beat of an old rock music song. The dark-haired nurse (Lana) with beautiful coal black eyes said he likes to serenade his patients :) I
looked over at him and smiled, then I watched as he started singing along
to the song :)
On a sour note I know how girls must
often times feel at the hand of an uncaring person... violated!
HAHAHAHA Seriously though he seems like a really good doctor and I'm glad
it's over!
I hope any and all who might read this
has a good day today. One more thing: I was shooting for at least a four day
(96 hour) liquid fast, but I ended it a little while ago after only 3
and ¼ days... I had a veggie burger and fries at Burger King :)
H O Y A M F S :) + TATTOO PICTURE
Sunday April 27, 2014 12:00 am & 10:46 pm
Just a little news that really isn't news but I will pass it along anyway. I am now into a planned 96 hour liquid fast: but, I'm also wanting to see how long I can go beyond that set time? Of course this isn't a particular healthful fast as I'm not ruling out wine or beer... if it tastes good and it's liquid I will drink it :) This time I'm just wanting to see how many days I can keep this up.
I got in from Missy and Brian's a little while ago where I had been smoking a good cigar (Maker's Mark -- bourbon infused) and drinking a (Shock Top) chocolate beer... good
stuff! BTW, smoking cigars during this fast is also allowed! So, I guess there really isn't anything healthy about this one at all? Perhaps this time I'm just wanting to test my willpower about staying away from solid foods :)
I open in a few hours and after I get off
work this evening I am scheduled to (finally) get my next tattoo as I've been waiting for this particular day to have it done.
If everything goes according to plan then sometime before midnight
tonight I will be able to add another picture and this one will be of my anchor tattoo.
I hope any and all who reads this has a
great day today!
You know... I have a confession to make: evidently I'm a "weenie" and I only pretend to be tough? I swear, this one HURT! HAHAHAHA I'm very glad it didn't take him long to do this one. The rose was nearly 3 hours and my beloved friend Virgil was about 2 & 1/2 hours. Tonight though... just a little more than 30 minutes. This one bled more too... so, I'm not sure if it was just the area that was more tender? But, I'm happy it's done. Okay, enough bellyaching: I have three pictures to upload for any who might like to see them :)
Once it heals completely it will look even better. The last picture I am in the bandage he placed on me after he was done and had taken the picture.
A long time ago someone taught me a word I now use and think of often... "bittersweet." All day today was like that for me :( I used my whistle many times today to mark certain passages of time... both so very, very wonderful and yet very, very sad :( I can explain it no better that that.
Well, on a lighter note I have a colonoscopy scheduled for Tuesday morning. HAHAHAHAHA That is true and maybe (after today) I'm not even kidding about it being on a "lighter note." The only thing I don't like is being put to sleep... I think it's because I feel like I have no control during that time. Besides, what if my doctor is queer and he takes certain "liberties" with me while I'm asleep? You never know... right :)
One more thing. I carried a picture with me tonight and asked Darin if I decide to have this tattoo done (over my heart) how long did he think it would take him to do it? He looked for a bit and said, "Maybe 6 hours?" OUCH! Oh well, when I make the decision to do it I will just have to 'man up' and once again pretend I'm tough :)
Well, I hope all who reads this has a very good night tonight!!!!!!!
UP & DOWN COUPLE OF WEEKS
Wednesday April 9, 2014 9:40 pm
I now have gone to my second funeral this week in as many days :( Also, today is one year removed from losing Virgil :( On a better note I just got home from listening to Tim Tebow speak... he is a very good inspirational and motivational speaker.
While at Hilton Head (actually on a boat looking to spot dolphins) I got a bad call from home and was told a young man in our family had been murdered. Then, a former pastor died and it was his service I was at earlier today.
Later I will add to this blog and maybe over time post some vacation pictures and videos. But for now I'm not really up to doing any of that. I didn't want to pass up this date though without remarking that it has been a year since I lost my dear friend, Virgil :( I miss him terribly!!!!!!!
I hope all who reads this has a good day :)
