PART FOUR... THE FINISH!
Tuesday October 30, 2012 9:27 pm
Before I write and continue
with Obama and his callous disregard for innocent human life I want
to give you a very easy test to see if you have a “God apologist”
as your pastor? Whenever they are reading verses in the Bible that
speak of the love which God has for people... do they ever preface
their statements about these verses in this manner? “Well, I know
it states that God “loves” … but what is really meant in this
passage that He just likes, or cares about... really, it just means
that He, “hates a little less.”
Wouldn't
that be silly for any man who claims to believe the Bible is the Word
of God to say anything like that? Of course it would. However, that
is exactly what
they do whenever it is verses which teach that God can “hate.”
They will say, “Well, I know it states that God “hates” … but
what is really meant in this passage is that He just dislikes, or
doesn't care about... really, it just means that He, “loves a little
less.”
Honestly, I expect liberals
like Billy Graham and Joel Osteen and people like that to carelessly
handle the Bible and put their own spin on it. They are god-makers
who continually fashion God in their own image. (I suppose one that
they could like?) I mean, they certainly dislike the God of the
Bible. I won't say they “hate” the God of the Bible because they
are far too gentle of men to actually hate anyone (: (Ridiculous, huh?)
All men like them make their imaginary “god” to behave as they
think they would: they couldn't send anyone to Hell, so their little
god from their own minds couldn't do it either.
I
do agree that there are different types of hate even as there are
different types of love. I would hope that if a man says he hates
hominy (as I do) that it would not be with the same malice he would
feel if he might say that he hates child-killers. I get that. What I
do not understand are preachers who can read a verse like Zechariah
11:8 and still want to pretend that God is not capable of hating
anyone? “Three
shepherds also I cut off in one month, and my soul
loathed them, and their
soul also abhorred me.”
What's really funny is that you will have a God apologist who will
readily admit that these three shepherds really did “hate God.”
But, in the exact same verse they will apologize for God and explain
that He really only “loved those shepherds a little less” then...
let's say, Moses, or Paul, or John? I get so fed up with people
masquerading as “men of God” and yet belittle by disbelieving the
very Book which teaches about Him.
Now,
to the well-known baby killer Obama. There is a policy Called the
Mexico City Policy that President Reagan began while in his first
term as president. Because of that policy American tax dollars could
not be sent overseas to aid any government or organization that
performs or refers for abortion. It is important also to know that
both Bush's as presidents of the U.S. also upheld this same ban. One
of Obama's first
acts as
president was that he repealed that protection and now a few hundred
million dollars of yours, and my tax monies have been sent overseas
and used to murder un-birthed children in foreign lands.
Remember when I told you I
would show a marked difference between the two agendas of Obama and
Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney has publicly stated that “On day one” as
president he will sign an executive order that will stop American
dollars from going overseas which is used to murder un-birthed
children!
In addition, the Obama
administration has been promoting Kenya's new constitution. If you
are thinking, why is that bad? It is because their new constitution
allows for abortion on demand! Obama, is a well-known baby killer,
both here and abroad.
While still a senator he
opposed a partial birth abortion bill which would have halted this
barbaric practice. Partial birth abortion is where a doctor turns the
baby in the womb forcing it into a breach position (feet first) and
all but the baby's head is removed from the womb. Then, the doctor
forces a long hollow tube into the skull of the child and the child's
brains are suctioned out. Obama voted to allow this practice to
continue. When the Supreme Court ruled this practice had to stop and
the ban was to stay in place, Obama denounced their ruling which
upheld the ban. (Now, do you understand why I believe he is a
monster.)
If you, the person who is
reading this blog couldn't kill a baby after their birth or while
still in the womb... how in the name of God could you vote for and
help place into office a person who does murder children? Aren't you
culpable? Didn't your vote help place them into office? Do you
honestly believe you will escape the wrath of God for your part in
the killing of these helpless babies? If you place a gun into the
hands of a man who says he wants to use it to kill someone... you do
understand that you are as guilty as the person who pulled the
trigger and murdered someone? Right? Then, if you vote for a man (or
woman) to hold public office knowing they will use their authority to
continue killing children... aren't you as guilty as they are? Didn't
you want them there... full-well knowing what they were going to do?
Of course you are guilty! You are the silent witness to the deaths of
these children all around the world as they are dying by the millions
because you helped elect the people who are killing them.
Do I really need to type
verses from God's Word to show how He feels toward... and about the
sin of homosexuality? I honestly pray that no one who reads this blog
is so lacking in reading God's Word that they would not know that in
both Testaments He is vehemently opposed to people who engage in that
particular sin. Because I tire typing I will list just a few verses
in case you really do not know what God has to say on the subject.
Leviticus 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with
womankind: it is abomination.”
Of course we know that
homosexuality is often referred to as the sin of “sodomy” and
that comes from the fact that In the nineteenth chapter of Genesis
God burned two cities and all of their inhabitants with fire and
brimstone because the city was overrun with homosexuals. A modern day
equivalent to those two sinful cities would be San Francisco in our
own country.
Romans one and beginning at
verses 24-32 you will see that God turns the mind of the homosexual
into that of a reprobate mind and He allowed them to “dishonour
their own bodies” and indulge in their “vile
affections.” Romans 1:26-28a “For this cause God gave
them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the
natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the
men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one
toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and
receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was
meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind...” I will give the
definition of reprobate in all cases. The reason I am doing this is
to show how serious a charge it is to imagine that God turned them
over unto this carnal mind... at that point they have no hope of
salvation in this life! To be fair, I don't know when that happens?
My best guess is that for all homosexuals who have announced that
they are “out of the closet” at least for that group they have been turned
over to damnation. I suppose that for those who still feel shame for
their sin against God and they try to hide their shame and sin...
that God has not already turned their mind evil?
Reprobate (noun) 1. A morally
unprincipled person. 2. One who is predestined to damnation.
(adjective) 1. Morally
unprincipled; shameless. 2. Rejected by God and without hope of
salvation.
(verb) 1. To disapprove of:
condemn. 2. To abandon to eternal damnation. Used of God.
Anyway... it is patently
obvious from God's Word that He is against this type of sin. So, does
it not stand to reason that people who embrace, and or promote this
evil culture is also in rebellion towards God. Let's look at Obama
and his homosexual agenda.
On Obama's re-election website
he actually “brags” about what he has done for the homosexual
community. The presidents campaign on their Twitter account posted a
link that has a time-line and boasts of 40 “accomplishments” (?)
for the gay agenda. On that same Tweet was this statement, “What
three years of progress for the LGBT community looks like.” This
same time-line spoke of the reception Obama had for “gay pride
month” and he noted that he was the first president to sponsor such
an event. (My earnest prayer is that he will be the last president to
ever do such a shameful thing!) At this same terrible event that he
hosted Obama proclaimed that his administration had already done more
in two and one half years than the previous 43 presidents to forward
the gay agenda.
Of course we also know that
Obama promotes the idea that homosexuals be permitted to marry
exactly in the same union as a man and a woman... that is a
blasphemous disregard for the Bible. Keep in mind that this is the
exact same terminology that Christ uses to describe His relationship
to the church on Earth. That is the idea of a “marriage.” The
Lord is speaking of “His bride” in the following two verses.
Ephesians 5:26-27 “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with
the washing of water by the word. That he might present it to himself
a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing;
but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Obama with his
policies makes a mockery of every institution that God calls holy!
Remember though, “A corrupt tree (Obama) can not bring forth good
fruit!
I stated that I would
talk about the two “agendas” in this race. We already know
Romney's stand on funding abortion... he will not do that! Now, on
homosexual marriages. “Like the vast majority of Americans, I've
opposed same-sex marriage, but I've also opposed unjust
discrimination against anyone, for racial or religious reasons, or
for sexual preference. Americans are a tolerant, generous, and kind
people. We all oppose bigotry and disparagement. But the debate over
same-sex marriage is not a debate over tolerance. It is a debate
about the purpose of the institution of marriage, and it is a debate
about activist judges who make up the law rather than interpret the
law.” (Mitt Romney)
His stand, marriage should
only be between a man and a woman, and he supports a constitutional
amendment that would define marriage as between a man and a woman.
Keep in mind the two completely different agendas these two men have,
and their vision for this country.
God's promises, along with His
blessings and His curses never fail. Read carefully what He promises
to Abraham and his seed. Genesis 12:2-3 “And I will make of thee
a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and
thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and
curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the
earth be blessed.” AND I WILL BLESS THEM THAT BLESS THEE,
AND CURSE HIM THAT CURSETH THEE
Obama, again, by his actions
is a Jew hater. At this year's DNC there were two crucial things
removed from their party platform. One, is the word God, which
was in 2008, but removed for this year. Here is the 2008 quote. “We
need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests
of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance
to make the most of their God-given potential.” That was 2008. 2012
was word-for-word EXCEPT the phrase “God-given” was removed!
In 2008 the DNC quoted
Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and Hamas was to be isolated until
it renounced terrorism and recognized Israel. Now, in 2012 I will
show what the DNC did not do! DNC 2008 “Jerusalem is and will
remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem
is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an
undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.” This year...
all three sentences were stricken. Now, to further prove that Obama
is a hater of God's chosen people... look what was also stricken. DNC
2008 “The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to
isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel's right
to exist, and abides by past agreements.” This year... nothing
was said against the terrorist (Muslim) group Hamas!
Mitt Romney has sworn to
remain a friend to Israel and he said, “Israel's existence as a
Jewish state is not up for debate.” Let me show you from overseas
who favors Romney (Jews) and who favors Obama (Muslims) “Israeli
Jews prefer Republican candidate Mitt Romney over US President Barack
Obama by an almost 3:1 margin, according to a “peace Index” poll
conducted by the Israel Democracy Institute and Tel Aviv
University...”
“Asked in terms of Israeli
interests, who would be preferable to win the elections next month in
the US, 57.2% of Israeli Jews said Romney, while only 21.5% said
Obama.” Now, the clincher! Among Israeli Arabs, (75% of whom are
Muslims) the numbers were reversed, with 45% opting for Obama, and
15% for Romney. Why, because Obama is a lover of Muslims and a Jew
hater... period!
"By their fruits ye shall know
them." Obama helps to shed the blood of millions and millions of
un-birthed babies throughout the world. Obama brags about doing more
to promote the agenda of homosexuals than all of our other presidents
combined. Obama by his actions, not by his lying words, is a hater of
the Jews. His actions shows his contempt for God's people and
sometimes the world gets to hear this liar tell what is really in his
heart. He was caught, and recorded on an open mike engaging French
President Sarkozy on his dislike of Netanyahu. Quote, “I cannot
bear Netanyahu, he's a liar,” adding, “You're fed up, but I have
to deal with him every day.”
Neither man would I care for
as my pastor. However, there is a clear choice as to which agenda
comes from God... and which one was spawned in the depths of Hell. With
no possibility of being wrong, and spiritually speaking, Obama's
heart is far more dark than his black skin. As a lost man, there is
no light in him at all: the Bible declares that as a lost man Obama
must do the deeds of his father, which is the devil. Jesus is
speaking: John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the
lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in
him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a
liar, and the father of it.”
PART THREE... DOES GOD HATE SINNERS?
Monday October 29, 2012 9:04 pm
(January
16, 1859 C.H. Spurgeon delivered a message and I want to take one
particular quote from that evening's message and let my blog begin
with his words. He was advising people that when they are reading the
Bible they must never change it to make it more palatable to their
senses.)
“Take
care my dear friends, how any of you meddle with God's Word. I have
heard of folks altering passages they did not like. It will not do,
you know, you cannot alter them; they are really just the same. Our
only power with the Word of God is simply to let it stand as it is,
and to endeavour by God's grace to accommodate ourselves to that. We
must never try to make the Bible bow to us, in fact we cannot, for
the truths of divine revelation are as sure and fast as the throne of
God.” (C.H. Spurgeon)
I
will begin my part by stating a simple truth. Any statement that you
can make must have an opposite statement which could be made in order
to know the first statement is factual. Do you understand? Think
about it. How do we know that there is such a thing as “up?”
Isn't it because we know there is a “down?” All statements...
all statements... will have an opposite statement which
can be made!
J.
Vernon McGee said, “Do you know that if God loves, God also
hates—because you can not love without hating?” He continued, “If
God loves the good, He has to hate the evil—it couldn't be
otherwise...”
I
am going to begin this blog introducing two Bible characters. One,
God obviously loves: Moses. The other one God obviously hates,
Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Before I set out to prove that I will type
several verses which will teach the same truth I am trying to bring
out in this series on the upcoming election. That will be the
love/hate relationship God has with certain people.
Let
me dispense with a popular idiom that is found nowhere in the Bible.
I imagine you have heard it though. Usually it is used by a
pussyfooting preacher who has learned from others of the same ilk to
become a full-time “God apologist.” Here is their man-made
“quote” found nowhere in Scripture: “God hates sin, but loves
the sinner.” If you have ever imagined that is a verse somewhere in
the Bible... it's not. It is along the same lines as “Cleanliness
is next to Godliness.” Sounds good... maybe, I don't know? However,
neither saying is found in the Word of God.
As
far as I can tell from diligently searching, the first person to use
the phrase "Love the sinner, hate the sin" was Saint
Augustine from the third century AD, and today he is recognized as a
Catholic Saint. If I believed in that foolishness I might actually
call on him just now because he is supposed to help “alleviate sore
eyes.” Believe me... mine are bloodshot and sore from research,
study, and typing. Anyway, he said, “Cum
dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum,
which translates roughly to "With love for mankind and hatred of
sins." So, blame that “Bible” fallacy on the man from Hippo
(:
I
am going to quote several verses that shows that God (according to
His Holy Word) hates sin... and many times those who commit it.
Leviticus 20:23 “And ye
shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before
you: for they committed all these things and therefore I abhorred
them. Notice, God didn't
only “abhor” their misdeeds or their sins: He, “abhorred them!”
Psalms
5:5 “The foolish shall not
stand in thy sight, thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”
(Notice, He doesn't hate just the “work” (sin) … He hates the,
“workers.”)
Psalms
10:3 “For the wicked
boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesses the covetous, whom the
Lord abhorreth.”
Hosea
9:15 “All their
wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness
of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them
no more: all their princes are revolters.”
Zechariah
11:8 “Three shepherds
also I cut off in one month; and my soul loathed them, and their soul
also abhorred me.” That's very personal and extremely plain... no wiggle-room for pussyfooters.)
Malachi
1:2-3 “The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi.
I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved
us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? Saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob,
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for
the dragons of the wilderness.”
Romans
9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have
I hated.”
Proverbs
6:16-19 “These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an
abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that
shed innocent blood, And heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that
speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
Please notice that all seven items that are on this list of things
that God hates comes with an attached body (: Only one, the very
first one could even be construed as a “sin of the mind?” In
other words, the lying tongue which is hated is attached to the body,
attached to the mind, etc. It is not that He hates a set of
disembodied hands, He hates the sinner who is using his hands and
shedding innocent blood.
Look,
I honestly don't know how many verses there are in the Bible which
clearly states that God not only hate sins... but also certain
sinners. But, wouldn't the seven passages I typed from both
Testaments be enough for any person who really does believe the Bible
to be the Word of God? You see, the problem is that most preachers,
and even those who purport to be fundamental in their beliefs really
do not believe God's Word at all. They are merely Bible correctors
exactly like the liberals they vociferously cry against.
Here
is how you can easily spot a Bible corrector or one of God's many
public relations ministers who go about trying to soften His image. I
call them “God apologists.” I continually think of them bowing
and scraping before the masses always trying to remind them that the
God of the Bible is, after all, not as hard as He sounds. You know...
kind of like a fat, jovial, Santa Claus who only pretends he is going
to punish with a lump of coal... but we all know he really only has
the best of intentions and gifts will be given to everyone! Yayyyy!
Santa Claus (God) is coming!
What
follows is a great set of verses to see if you have a real preacher
in the pulpit... or a man who must always explain away verses that
might make God sound like He could be a “meanie.” In case you
didn't know, “meanie” is a Bible word that those of us who
exegete the Holy Word of God likes to use. (I hope it isn't over
everyone's understanding?)
I
am trusting that all who reads this will have at least a working
knowledge of the Bible and its many stories. If not, you are going to
be lost because I refuse to sit here and type verse after verse
trying to catch everyone up. So, we are going to start at the very
beginning of
God and Moses' contest against Pharaoh. Exodus 7:1-3 “And
the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and
Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I
command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he
send the children of Israel out of his land. And I will harden
Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of
Egypt.”
Before
continuing I need to point out something very important. Verse one is
the beginning of
the contest and the judgments which soon follow and it will be
between Pharaoh and God. Now, verse 4a “But
Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you...”
There is an excellent reason why Pharaoh would not give in to Moses
and Aaron... God hardened
Pharaoh's heart and
would not permit him to give in. Here is why I stressed that this is
the beginning of the contest. I could not count on my fingers and
toes the number of God apologist (preachers) I have heard stop after
reading verse three and say something to this effect. “Now
really... God didn't harden Pharaoh's heart, Pharaoh hardened his own
heart!”
BLASPHEMER...
They
are calling God a liar, and His Bible they count as something untrue
and needing themselves to correct it! I have a verse for them “God
forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar...”
(Romans 3:4a) Remember, back and forth throughout this entire story
you will read of times that Pharaoh does indeed harden his own heart.
But, you will also read that there are times he is ready to give in
and the Lord will not let him because He is not yet through with him.
Several
times over the course of the plagues upon Egypt God would harden
Pharaoh's heart and, of course, there were also many times that
Pharaoh would harden his own heart against God and His people. Make
no mistake, that is what sin can do to a man... men will harden their
hearts against God. But also make no mistake either: God has often
done that to men (hardening of their hearts) to see His will
accomplished.
This
is not going to be a which came first, the chicken or the egg
controversy. I would even allow that Pharaoh already had a hard heart
and was indifferent toward God and that is why God decided to use
Pharaoh to show His power? Regardless, God on multiple occasions was
the One who hardened the heart of Pharaoh and would not permit him to
give up.
Exodus
7:13, Exodus 9:12, Exodus 10:1, etc. etc. etc. the Word of God
records He was the one who hardened Pharaoh's heart and wouldn't let
him quit. Then, we read the culmination of the story. Exodus 10:16-20
“Then Pharaoh
called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned
against the Lord your God, and against you. (This
was after Egypt had literally been destroyed by the hand of God.)
Verse 17 “Now
therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat
the Lord your God, that he may take away from me this death only. And
he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the Lord. And the Lord turned
a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them
into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of
Egypt. Keep
in mind that God was not yet done showing His miracles and His
strength against Egypt. So, He simply could not allow Pharaoh to give
up. Verse 20 “But
the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the
children go.”
For
those who know their Bible there will still yet be one more sign upon
Egypt... death of the firstborn. After God finishes His judgments
against Pharaoh He allows Pharaoh to finally give up and Pharaoh
calls for Moses and tells him to take all of his people and go. In
12:32 Pharaoh even asks Moses as he is leaving to, “...bless
me also.”
(There is no indication that ever happens.)
There
is still yet one more interesting thing to notice from this story.
God's people would need many things for their journey. Clothes, gold,
silver, etc. So, notice again that man's heart is truly in the hand
of God and he can steer him any way He chooses. Look what He does.
12:35 “And the
children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they
borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and
raiment:”
Why do you suppose these same Egyptians who now despised the
Israelites for their present misery was so swift to give them
anything they asked for? Because, just like with the hardening of
Pharaoh's heart... it was an easy thing for God to put it in their
mind to give to the children of Israel whatever they wanted. Verse 36
“And the Lord
gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they
lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the
Egyptians.”
There
is one final act. God is going to drown Pharaoh and his armies in the
Red sea. So, for the last time in this story we see God hardening
Pharaoh's heart and leading him to his death. God told Moses where to
camp near the Red sea and they were to wait upon Pharaoh and his
army. Exodus 14: 3-8 “For
Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the
land, the wilderness hath shut them in. And I will harden Pharaoh's
heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am
the Lord. And they did so. And it was told the king of Egypt that the
people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned
against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we
have let Israel go from serving us”
I wonder if any of them even had an inkling that their anger was
being stirred by God so His will would be done? Verse 6 “And
he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him: And he took
six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and
captains over every one of them.” Next
will be the final time God stirs Pharaoh's heart to act against Him.
This one will lead to the death of the Egyptian army as God drowns
them in the Red sea. Verse 8 “And
the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued
after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out
with an high hand.”
If
you don't believe that God can hate both sin and a particular
sinner... then you simply don't believe the Bible. That's okay, I
guess: but, please quit pretending that you do, because it adversely
affects those of us who do actually believe every word of the Book,
without trying to constantly correct it.
In
the seven item list in the sixth chapter of Proverbs the third thing
on the list that God states that He hates is... “... hands
that shed innocent blood...”
Now, let's look at some abortion facts as it relates to our current
president.
When
Obama was a senator in Illinois, three separate times he opposed “The
Born Alive Infants Protection Act.” Basically the bill would have
allowed children who had survived the doctor trying to kill them in
the womb to be given care after being birthed. On three occasions
Obama refused. He even refused “comfort care” where the newly born
baby could have been held by someone. Instead, if a child survives a
botched abortion all that can be done for them is to warp them in a
blanket and place them crying and
alone in
a darkened room until they die! Which usually happens as they choke
to death on the matter that is still clogging their throats from
having been birthed. If you believe this is a lie... please look it
up for yourselves and see if it is true!
And,
that is just one bad act from the human monster that some people who claim to be
born-again voted for in the last election. This will be just the first fact I am listing to end this tonight as this blog has already become lengthy. I will pick up at this point on my next blog and give more information about his hands shedding innocent blood. And I will prove from the Word of God that the Lord does hold him, and all men like him responsible for killing the children: even if they are not the ones cutting with their scalpels.
I will also give many facts about his stand with homosexuals and his hatred toward Israel. Remember... by their fruits (actions) will you know them. You can not be opposed to everything the Bible holds as good and still pretend to be a child of God. He is simply another lost liar.
PART TWO... WITH AN EXPLANATION
Sunday October 28, 2012 7:10 pm
“These six things doth the Lord
Hate...” (Proverbs 6:16a) There's that word again, “hate.” In
relationship to what the Lord hates
there are dozens of things... and or people that is included in what
the Lord hates. In the above passage I am going to quote (on my next blog)
will be listed seven things that are hated by God.
I
suppose because this is not an easy topic to accept from the Bible
that the God of love also hates sin, and we will look further in that
writing to see if that extends to the sinner as well? In order to do
that I will have to go back and do something I no longer feel
qualified to do, nor do I have the necessary desire to do again: and
that is to teach something about the Bible. If I have any long-time
readers of my blog left... I will explain the difference between what
I have done for the last several years as I write, and how my next
blog will be somewhat different.
Since
I have begun writing this blog (many years ago) I have had hundreds of
blogs where I have included my opinions on various subjects, and many
times I have used Bible verses in order to support my strongly held
opinions. But, I have always done it as one sinner writing to other
sinners and allowing for the possibility of error in my beliefs, and
whatever subject matter I was writing about. Next time, and probably
for the last time in my lifetime I am not going to do that. Instead I
will write that blog as I one time used to teach and prepare messages
to be delivered. I will do it with authority from the Book on my desk
and I will not write with the idea that I could be wrong. Because,
plain and simply stated... if I am wrong in what I write with my next
blog then the Bible is nothing more than a complicated book of
carefully crafted fairy-tales compiled by well-meaning, but misguided
men.
I will
now explain something I had no intention of ever telling anyone.
Perhaps then it will be easier to see the difference in what I have
before written... and what I write in part three. I suppose my only
real concern is that the few times I allow others to take a
quick peek inside the veritable zoo I call my mind, that someone,
somewhere, is going to say, “... that guy is nuts!” Then, out
comes the nets and the white coats and the locks... and it's just
such a mess (:
More
than 20 years ago I made a decision that I would no longer put myself
in a position where I could create any type of following. Never again
would I set myself up where I could cause anyone else to stumble or
fall if they were trying to follow my lead. So, through the years I
have filled a few pulpits and taught a few lessons, but never enough
to cause any one to want to follow me. And, for every message I have
relented and done, I have turned down dozens of offers. I have become very good
at obfuscating and putting people off. Even with this blog I did
something similar.
I
began writing this blog for only one reason. I had written a book and
I was trying to find a way to break into the publishing market. I
never intended to write beyond the time of my book being published,
if that would even happen? Then, along the way something funny
happened. After my book was published I still kept my blog because I
found I enjoyed doing it. And, apparently there were other people who
also enjoyed reading what I wrote. All the while I was doing that I
never even considered that I was (without conscious thought) creating
something I long ago determined I didn't need, nor could I be trusted
with. (People, some of whom because of what I wrote or said might follow me?)
It was
about six years ago that one day I looked at the numbers of those who
were reading and I was excited, because they were high... but it also
dawned on me that I was doing exactly what I had sworn to never do
again. So, I decided to “shoot myself in the foot.” I began
changing topics and I was all over the place with what I wrote. I
figured that way for those who liked politics if I quit writing about
it, they would quit reading. The same was true for religion, love,
etc. I would just write on an odd assortment of all things.
Predictably
the numbers fell... but maybe not enough? I remembered what Curtis
Hutson said in a message one time, so I tried that. He was mocking
pastor's whose membership was falling and he felt it was because they
just sort of “mailed in” their messages they had for their
people. That is they were preaching without giving it their best
effort and their lack of study for their messages showed. His
statement was that if you have a dinner bell that you ring for the
cattle to know that food is in their trough, and you ring it... every
time they will come running. But, if you begin ringing it and day
after day when the cattle come to the trough there is no food? Well,
it won't be long before the sound of the bell no longer attracts them
because they are not being fed.
He
said the same thing happens when the church bell rings and the saved
“sheep” come to be fed... however, the pastor is ill-prepared and
his message is poor and the sheep are no longer being fed? Anyway, it
just follows that the sheep stay home when the church bell is ringing
if they are not fed when they arrive? I know that was a lengthy
explanation to state that long ago I decided to quit writing on a
regular basis so no one could depend that if they took the time to
open my blog that there would be anything new. The numbers began to
drop... good.
However,
I started getting lots of emails asking if anything was wrong? Where
was I? Many wrote to say they missed what I wrote... so, I
discontinued providing my email at the bottom of my blogs I wrote.
Finally, I think (?) the numbers are where I can accept them.
My
next blog will be different than any I have written before in that I
won't present it as “one take” or a “possibility” or some
person's “opinion.” Then, after that I will go back to writing (inanely) as
I have before, as just one sinner (with an opinion) writing on a
variety of subjects. Because the election is only eight days away I
will try and type and get that blog out as quickly as possible.
VOTING FOR AN AGENDA... AND NOT A MAN
Saturday October 27, 2012 10:00 am
I haven't had a political blog in the
last couple of years, but I think this one is important to show some
marked differences between the two main agendas in this presidential
race. I will only show the differences as they relate to Scripture...
otherwise I couldn't care less if I were looking at this race from
the perspective of a humanistic view. If you are a believer in Christ
and you honestly expect one day to have to give an account to Him
about your actions after salvation, (Romans 14:10-12) then you ought
to read this blog. And I believe you ought to read, not because I am
writing it: rather because I am only going to look at it from the
concept of, “What saith the Lord?” In other words, I will break
down both candidates agendas from the doctrines of the Bible.
It is also important to know that when
you cast your vote on November 6 that you are not voting for either
of the men to be your pastor... you are only voting for a political
leader to head up the government. I first need to dispense with the
often used and greatly misused idea that Christian's aren't supposed
to “judge” other people. Of course, that sentiment is complete
hogwash and is usually spouted by people with very limited knowledge
of the Bible and it is one of the two or three catchphrases they know
by rote, as they think it makes them sound knowledgeable about the
things of God.
That particular thought about not
judging is one that I usually hear spouted by lost liberals on the
left trying to remind the born-again believers on the right that they
should not “cast judgment” about their candidate. Then, after
making that statement they “judge” the conservative on the ticket
not worthy of their vote and they “judge” the lost liberal as
worthy of their vote and they cast their ballot accordingly. So, keep
in mind that as a born-again believer on your way to Heaven, or as
one of the damned and only Hell awaits... if you have voted in the
past or if you are voting in this year's election then you have
“judged” between two candidates and have made a choice.
Those
people with spiritual discernment knows that the Bible never condemns
judgment made by one man toward another, what is condemned is judging
unfairly. Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”
(Evidently that is the only verse most lost people know. Sadly, even
the spiritually weak believers seem to not know there is a verse
number two which immediately follows the first and clarifies the
matter.) Matthew 7:2 “For with what judgment ye judge, ye
shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured
to you again.”
Again,
the Bible further declares as it relates to God's people,
“But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is
judged of no man. (I Corinthians
2:15) Before I begin I need to ask any person who reads this a
question to consider. Which is more important? Is it more important
for a man to say
the
right thing or to do the
right thing? If a choice were given, wouldn't all honest people have
to admit that actions speak the truth, yet words are only words
unless there is an action which follows and backs up the spoken word?
To put it plainly, isn't any man just a liar and a hypocrite to say
one thing and then to do the complete opposite?
Isn't
that how God judges people? Does He not do it by their actions
(works) and not by what they say. That's what the Bible means when it
states that we will know people (sheep from goats) by their “fruit”
or their “works” that they do. Please, if you are a sincere
person and wanting to know the truth of how we are to rightly judge
people then read the next few verses very carefully. They are the
words of Christ and from those I will show you with historical
evidence (his own words, writings, and actions) that our present
Commander in Chief is in reality a wolf masquerading in sheep's
clothing. Matthew 7:15-20 “Beware
of false prophets, which comes to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their
fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so
every good tree bringeth forth good fruit: but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that
bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Throughout
this blog I will be reminding you of two particular phrases from the
above selection after I show certain actions from Obama. Those
phrases will be, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth
good fruit (and) Wherefore
by their fruits ye shall know them.
Now we all know that even a saved man is still a sinner and will
always fail God in one way or another. So, when I list Obama's
actions which are diametrically opposed to God, I am not listing them
as I might try and record sins. Because everyone sins! What I want to
do is to show that in Obama's life and actions almost all of his
policies are in direct opposition to God. And it is not because he is
a politician and he has to do that. I will show that in every area I
am writing about that his predecessor in the White House was in
accordance with God's Word on the exact same policies where Obama now
defies God. In addition, Obama's opponent in the present race,
though undoubtedly lost, has a markedly different agenda than does
Obama, and Romney's agenda actually lines up with the Word of God.
I will begin with Obama and his personal history with abortion. You
will see that he has a monstrous record on this subject. He is more
vile in this area than any president in the history of our country...
and I will prove that with his actions both before he was president
and then after he attained that office. First, let's see what God
says about people who practice this atrocity.
Do you believe God can hate? If you believe the Bible you would. The
same Bible which states that He is love, in many places also states
that He can hate. I am not an apologist for the Lord as apparently
some preachers believe they are in the pulpit to be only that. There
is such a thing as a perfect love... but there is also such a thing
as a perfect hatred. Both of those things, at least for humankind is
hard to achieve. Because many times when we love someone it still
might not be with a perfect love because there might be something we
feel for another person which also benefits ourselves... and that
would make it less than a perfect love. On the other hand it is
almost impossible to hate and do it with a perfect hatred, because we
might hate and it could be because somehow we feel wronged... and
again that would make it less than perfect. However, God has none of
our human weaknesses so He is capable of loving and hating and He can
do both to perfection. Before I explain, let me give you an example
of perfect love. I will then follow that with another example also
from the Bible of a perfect hatred. I need to explain this concept of
God hating and with perfection in order to explain something about
abortion.
I Samuel 18:1 “And it came to pass, when he had made an end of
speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathon was knit with the soul
of David, and Jonathon loved him as his own soul.” Now, that is
an example (humanly speaking) of a perfect love. That is... only
wanting what is best for another and hoping to gain nothing from it
other than to hear of their happiness.
Now, again (humanly speaking) I want to show an example of a perfect
hatred. It also involves King David. David is in lamentation speaking
against those who by their words and their actions are defying God.
Psalms 139:20-22 “For they speak against thee wickedly, and
thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that
hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search
me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see
if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way
everlasting.” Remember... “I hate them with perfect
hatred” And the verses explain how that is possible. David
hated the enemies of God... not for his own sake, but because he was
grieved that their actions and words were against the God he loved!
I will now record a verse from God telling how He can also hate.
After that I will end this first part and the next time I write I
will pick up on this point and further explain something about God's
nature and then I will begin speaking about abortion.
Sometimes people get hung up on the fact that a person uses the Old
Testament in order to make a point and they are quick to remind everyone that
we live in a different dispensation. Although I personally feel they
lack greatly in understanding the Written Word... for their sake I
will acquiesce and I will finish this first part with a verse from the
New Testament as God is describing His love/hate relationship between
two twin brothers. Before I type this verse will all of the God
apologists please quit trying to explain away verses like this one
while “pretending” to believe and accept other ones that you
might actually like?
It is all one Bible! It is not a buffet meal where you can pick
whatever it is that suits your fancy and leave the rest. Besides, at
least for me and speaking about the Bible “it's all good!”
Romans 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have
I hated.” Yes dear friends, that is God in His Holy Word
describing a relationship between two boys and His feelings for each
one.
I am writing this blog before the election so that all who reads will
be able to make a more informed vote, and not necessarily between two
men: rather between two opposing belief systems and the agendas those
beliefs inspire. Hopefully, soon I will write part two of this blog.
TEST, FALL COLORS, AND AN ELECTION
Thursday October 25, 2012 9:43 am
I just returned home from taking
another proctored exam at school. I always try to set a score in my
mind (beforehand) of what I believe I will get... and then I set
another score that is the absolute bottom grade of what I believe I
could accept? This test was in psychology and this is a class that I
really enjoy. Not only is the material something I find fascinating,
the instructor is remarkable as well.
It was another one hour and fifty
minute timed test (involving 50 questions... with no essay) and
because of that I felt I would do well. I finished it in 14
minutes. Then I rehearsed what I felt I had gotten right
and in my mind I went back over the 11 questions I was in doubt and I figured if
I only had gotten 60% of those correct... I would still come in at my
higher number I had beforehand thought I would receive. I sat back
and pressed “ok” to view results. WHAT!!! It was exactly 10
points less than what I felt I would have. Evidently I had missed
almost every single question of those I had been in doubt. Every
person who has ever taken any test where there are four possible
choices knows that two of the choices are pretty much throw away and
doesn't even need to be considered. So, that really only leaves two
legitimate choices to make. It looks like I picked wrong every single
time! I finished with a high “B” on the day, but for a class I
really like and feel like I grasp the material well... it was
disappointing.
The morning wasn't a complete loss
because before I left the complex I shared a bagel and coffee with a
girl from Cricket's. We talked about school and I learned she is
majoring in business from Purdue. As we sat and talked I had a
disquieting thought. With that school, and her field of study she
might have been able to have taken the same test I had just
completed... and without the troublesome aspect of study, perhaps she
could have scored higher than I had? Thoughts like that will just
about make a person's day (: We wished each other well and I decided
to take the long drive home, and I'm glad I did.
I drove through the picturesque town of
Hamburg and down 60 a lot of that road is lined with trees which are
natural hardwoods and their fall colors are still spectacular!
I closed last night and again tonight
I'll do the same. More and more I realize it isn't just the closings
I abhor, because I really don't do that very often anymore, it is
just the fact that I have grown weary with work in general. I keep
praying for a particular candidate to win, and not for just one
reason. In truth, the main reason I want my candidate of choice to
win is because of the issue of abortion. However, there is a
secondary reason as well. As far as business is concerned and my
stock in the company I work for I believe his business acumen will
cause our stocks to again return to a number they were at several
years ago. And if that happens... I am getting out for good. Take the
money and run... if you know what I mean. Lol
So, all I can say is... “Go Romney!”
SLEEPLESS IN INDIANA (:
Sunday October 21, 2012 8:06 am
I suppose dreams come unbidden? Perhaps
it was nothing more than last evening I was working on one of my
classes (Psychology... we are studying dreams) and I answered the latest email
from my professor as we had been writing back-and-forth and
discussing why we dream at all? (She has some very good insight.)
Anyway, I woke up this morning from
what ought to have been a troubling dream and yet I realized I was
grinning. So, I was off to my bookshelf and I found a small and
unusual old book I own which has famous poems in it. There were two poems
(in particular) I was looking to find. One of them I will only write
a stanza, or perhaps two? The other one is very short and I will type
it in its entirety.
Both the fable and the poem I am
talking about are instantly recognizable by almost everyone. The
first is, The Spider and the Fly:
“Will you walk into my parlor?”
said the spider to the fly;
“ 'Tis the prettiest little parlor
that ever you did spy.
The way into my parlor is up a winding
stair.
And I have many pretty things to show
when you are there.”
“O no, no,” said the little fly,
“to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can
ne'er come down again.”
Of course, every small child who has
heard this particular fable already knows the outcome of Miss
Howitt's well-written story. I wanted to read it again this morning
because recalling that fable upon waking from my dream was the cause
of my grin as I awoke. It is because I had to ask myself one simple
question. Am I the spider or the fly? (...poor foolish thing...)
The poem I am going to type is as
famous for its brevity as it is for its importance. The poem is
Bourdillon's... The Night Has a Thousand eyes:
The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.
The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.
(No matter how hard I try... and I
really do try, there seems to be no escaping an inescapable truth!)
Before I stop typing this morning I
would like to again ask that anyone who reads this and is saved if
you would please continue praying for the person I had asked everyone
to pray for in my last post. There has been some guarded improvement
since my last blog... and we are all still in prayer. Thank you!
PRAYER ASKED FOR
Tuesday October 16, 2012 6:40 pm
Just about the time I believe I am through with this I hear about a special need. A few moments ago I learned of a person who I knew many years ago is in a life-and-death struggle at this present time. So, I would like to ask that any person who might read this and is saved to please pray for him, the doctors who are attending... and this man's family.
He was our two oldest daughter's first bus captain at church and one of the more faithful men I have ever known in my lifetime. Thank you very much for your prayers!
I AM SOOOOOOO IMPORTANT!
Sunday October 7, 2012 6:24 pm
I'll tell you about my title in a
minute... first though, I just heard a song on my eye-pod (sic)
and it might be the
first time I have heard it all the way through... I'm not sure? But
it was pretty good: Rascal Flatts – I MELT. Now... my title.
Imagine
I am sitting at my desk after a long day at work and I am getting
ready to finish two more assignments for Criminology and then I am
done for this week... and I start next week's assignments tomorrow.
Now, how many computer screens do you suppose I am monitoring, and
actually using on my desk. One, perhaps? Nope. How about two? Again,
no way. I have three! That's right... three! I got another laptop
today (: Assuredly it cannot even be legal for one person to have
three different screens they are using unless they must be an
important person... right? Therefore, I am sooooooo important!!!
That
last thought was a three exclamation humdinger! There, another one (:
In
finishing this before I start my school work, ask me how old I am...
I dare you. Even if you think you know, you don't. I'm 14 years old
and I am just coming awake in my bedroom/walk in closet. It is 4:30
am and I have to be on the streets in a few minutes to start
delivering papers. At least in my mind I am back there just now. Ray
Charles (not my favorite artist for this song) just finished singing
Rainy Night In Georgia. Are you like me in that regard? Can a song
take you back to a place, a time... or a person? It so very easily
does that for me.
Well,
I hope everyone has a good night and a great week coming up. I have
so many things planned to do this week I probably won't write again
for awhile. Until then... whenever “then” might be, please take
care... and be happy (:
PROBABLY NOT A GOOD "JUNKIE"
Friday October 5, 2012 2:50 pm
Earlier today I was at the dentist's office and after they were done she said my mouth and jaw would probably be very sore so she prescribed two different pain medications for me. One of them I had used before: Ibuprofen 600mg. The other pain reliever I have heard of them... but I had never before taken them: Lortabs
Before I transferred from Kentucky to Indiana on my present job there were two young guys fired, and a couple of supervisors demoted because they were all involved in either buying or selling that particular drug.
Anyway, maybe I was expecting too much... but I took one of them a couple of hours ago and all that it seemed to do for me was to make me very sleepy, and I was able to get an enjoyable, albeit brief nap as I found that I must have drifted off while lying on the couch.
I really can't imagine anyone would pay more money than what I paid at the drugstore with my prescription. Yet, I overheard one of the boys telling someone how much he had just sold 25 of them to one of the other workers. Crazy! So, I suppose I probably wouldn't be a very good junkie if that is the only effect you get from taking these? Come to think of it though... maybe they would work well for me if I am only needing to get some sleep?
20 minutes ago I came in to do some school work on my computer only to learn that the "blackboard 9.1" system we use for on-line classes is down. Because of that I thought I might waste some time (which I am usually loathe to do) and write a brief blog. Twice, while typing this I thought it felt like something (small) was crawling on my neck: however, I reached up and touched the spot and could find nothing. Several seconds ago I did it again and I brushed a small spider onto my leg. Not being an arachnologist I had no idea what type... only small and gray/black. Anyway, I only meant to flick him (or her... I didn't look that closely (: off of my leg but I must have done it too hard. Because I now have a small blood dot on the left leg of my new blue shorts ):
Since I can not do work for school, and because I feel like I need to be doing something... I believe I will go outside and change the inner-tube for my bike's rear tire. I must have picked up a nail or something while riding yesterday and I ended up walking the bike back home. All-in-all... I hope all who reads this is having a better last couple of days than I have had (:

THE TALL MAN
Thursday October 4, 2012 3:55 pm
I'm not going to get into a habit of writing about movies I have recently seen... but this one was good enough I'll make an exception. The other night one of my daughters called and suggested a movie for me to watch. So, I watched it late last evening.
Now, I don't know about you but I enjoy movies that have some serious plot twists and yet, in the end it all comes together nicely: this movie does that. I'll not give anything away to state that even when the movie is over... it will still be somewhat difficult to decide if the "villains" were really the "good guys" or not?
Jennifer Biel does a really good job in the movie and her character (especially) makes it difficult to know for certain what is really going on until much later in the movie. So, if you have some free time... this movie is a really good one to watch with a bowl of popcorn to eat, and a glass of something cold to drink. For my money... I like iced tea (:
CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET???
Tuesday October 2, 2012 5:27 pm
This has to be really hush-hush...
else, everyone will be wanting to do it. Are you familiar with
space-time travel... well here is my idea. In 1905 Einstein developed
his special theory of relativity and because of that he theorized
that there is a four dimensional “fabric” known as space-time.
And from that he would later postulate his most famous theory E=mc2.
Because of pioneering work by Carol Allie (and others) there have
been demonstrable tests to actually prove that time travel is a
possibility.
Now, I wouldn't even be considering
this right now except I am up against a hard date (October 3, 1973)
and I have to reach a poor ignorant boy and tell him something vital
before 7:30 am on that Wednesday morning. I know it might be sort of
hard to get your mind around this at first... but 39 years ago at
this same time (Tuesday October 2, 1973 4:45 pm) this catastrophic event would not have yet
happened... and I must warn him before it's forever too late!
He really wasn't a bad kid... just
impulsive and stupid and left on his own a lot he made some bad
decisions: but, maybe it isn't too late to warn him? By the way, if
you are reading this and you know someone who has such a time-machine
you can tell them I will give any price they are asking. In fact, I
already have figured out how I am going to pay for it. I know who won
the Super-bowl for that year and I am going to have him round up all
the money he has set aside from driving a truck for Empire Foods, and
I am going to have him bet it all on that game. Then, with his
earnings I am going to instruct him to drive to Harvard and introduce
himself to a young unknown college kid name Bill Gates. Forget Paul
Allen... I am going to have this young guy who needs to be warned to
bankroll this young genius to get him off the ground.
In addition, I will have a pocketful of
winning lottery numbers from history... which will yet be this poor
unfortunate boy's future (try to keep up... okay?) and he will win
several of those in his lifetime along with a couple of Ky Derby
winners just for fun (: Anyway... when the smoke clears and all is
said and done and this boy arrives into the present time... he should
be worth maybe, I don't know: a bazillion-gazillion dollars and then
he will be able to pay whatever the asking price is for the time
machine he used to travel back in order to make his fortune for the
present... got it? Good!
Look, please help me. We have had
enough dates that are seared into the conscious minds of every living
person! We need no more! August 26, 1883 … April 18, 1906 …
December 7, 1941 … December 26, 2004 … September 11, 2001 … and
of course, Wednesday October 3, 1973! But, there is still “time” to change that last one, I just need a little help.
I know space travel and time machines
exist because I have seen several Hollywood movies where people are
regularly traversing the space-time continuum in one direction or
another. I mean, c'mon... Hollywood doesn't lie... does it? I would
be so disappointed if I can not go back in time and warn him (:
Even now, 39 years ago at this exact
time he would have been driving to Marietta for one more look, before
leaving on a life-changing event. Maybe, if I went back now I could
be dropped of on Hwy 7 and I would simply stick my thumb out... he
never passed anyone up.
Well, I have to go as I'll be anxiously
awaiting an email telling me where to go and what to do to take my
trip... I can hardly wait. I even just got a windfall and a start to
pay for the time-machine. From the other room I heard Deb call out
and ask if we were expecting money from the I.R.S. as she had
collected the mail and could see through the plastic window and she
saw it was a check. I opened it... TWO WHOLE DOLLARS! Seriously... I
must have overpaid?
One more thing... if you need anything
changed in your own past... write to me quickly before I take off, and
I'll see what I can do to help you out as well (:
